mccain is bush's right nut
'Nooooo... he wanted to take his military advisor.'
So he needs someone to hold his hand?
'so he didn't go to THAT visit with the troops,'
It was because here weren't going to be cameras there.
'he's been to several others.'
Not before he started running for president.
'there are troops IN THE BACKGROUND!!!'
That DOESN'T MEAN HE DIDN'T BLOW OFF OTHER TROOPS.
'so much for going to the Gym alone.'
He DID, it was a different event.
Good lord - some of the posters are so screwed up they don't know what or who they are referring to in their rants. I was the one who mentioned about my Canadian friend who needed medical care while on a trip to the U.S., but I'm not Canadian. The nasty retort to that innocent comment was sickening. I have a lot of Canadian friends and have traveled from one end of Canada to the other, and the ones I know and have met have a high regard for the U.S. As far as Obama and McCain - who really knows the true story about what goes on unless you were there personally. They are probably both decent people who don't deserve some of the low-class crap that some are spewing out.
Well reasoned. Well stated, Sir. It is a pleasure to see some intelligence demonstrated on this site.
' I was the one who mentioned about my Canadian friend who needed medical care while on a trip to the U.S., but I'm not Canadian.'
That's a great story. Nothing tedious about you.
' The nasty retort to that innocent comment was sickening. '
Were you actually sickened? Did it give you cancer or something? If so, don't go to Canada because they will put you on a long waiting list for treatment.
'I have a lot of Canadian friends '
They were all talking about you the other day in the Canada club... 'Friends' is a bit of an overstatement.
'who really knows the true story about what goes on unless you were there personally.'
So why bother posting at all?
TO:????
Well reasoned. Well stated, Sir. It is a pleasure to see some intelligence demonstrated on this site.
I love it when sock puppets converse with each other.
'I love it when sock puppets converse with each other.'
Another neocon stick his head out his arse. Do something useful for your country, moron. Enlist. Get posted to Afghanistan. Be a hero, come home in a body bag.
And just what the he** were you getting at?? You don't make sense whatsoever!
all he has done lately is knock Obama in his talks - sounds like he's starting to get desperate and forgot what he even stands for - senility anyone?
Senile? you should hear obama when he is not reading off a teleprompter or David Axlerod isn't telling him what to say, more like retarded.
This is what the head surgeon said about Obama not visiting the troops:
'Last week, Senator Obama skipped a visit with wounded U.S. troops at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany because the Pentagon would not allow campaign staff or media to accompany him into the hospital. I served as director of trauma surgery at that hospital for nearly four years and saw the effect that a visit from a celebrity like Senator Obama could have on morale. During that time, I do not recall a single member of Congress canceling a visit with the troops despite being just a few hours away, but Senator Obama seems to have been more concerned with how the visit would affect him than how it would affect the soldiers recovering from wounds received in the service of their country.' Dr. Danny Jazarevic
' Enlist. '
I did enlist, I one of the people who helped secure your freedom so you could sit home in your mothers basement and eat, eat, eat...
'all he has done lately is knock Obama in his talks '
And he is now statistically even with someone who has paid about 60 million more dollars then he has to win the presidency. Not bad for an old fellow, eh?
ObamaRather than two people with different policy positions vying for the President's job, we have one man who understands he's a mere mortal like the rest of us, and one man, who seems to think he is a god.
And y'all know what I'm talkin' about here.
Many of Barack's followers manifest troubling signs of regarding him as at least a demigod. Even while refraining from saying outright that they think he's a god, their belief comes through in the strange messianic iconography of their Obama-glorifying posters, videos and music. Belief in the godlike nature of Barack's powers comes through in their faith in the vast promises he or his surrogates make about the change that's going to come about, not if, but when he becomes president, not just of our Country, but the whole darned world, oceans and all. Or so he seems to think.
The seas will recede. The planet will heal. Everyone will love America again. The sick will all be cured by socialized medicine. The poor will cease to exist. The rich will give all their money to Africa. The government will become efficient. Sin won't happen. The yellow brick road will lead to the White House, not a fantasy land. And the Emperor's clothes will suddenly materialize so that the whole world will actually see something there.
The bottom line here is that Barack Obama does not seem to be running against John McCain. He seems to think he's too big for that. As he told a roomful of Congressional Democrats this week, behind closed doors, he is no longer a mere man, he's 'become a symbol of the possibility of America.' Considering the scope of the promises he is making and the hope he is offering not only America, but the rest of the world to boot, Barack Obama seems to be running against a far higher power than himself.
Barack Obama actually appears to be running against God. By claiming that he can do things only God can do, like heal 'broken souls' and fill up 'holes' in people's hearts, make all 'divisions' go away and disperse with all inconvenient 'distractions,' Barack Obama claims power that no mortal man, and certainly no mere president has ever had, or ever will have, no matter how much money he has to spend or how brilliant or how able he may be.
Most rational human beings know this without thinking hard.
That's why this isn't an ordinary election, and why it is becoming more absurd by the hour.
But this is a terrific opportunity for all of us mortal Americans who still love this Country and happen to think that our Founders were onto something quite exceptional in the history of human civilization. This election will not pit Democrats against Republicans, but those who love America against those who just love Barack and think he is the one they've been waiting for to finally close the deal and secure their love for an America perfected by the politics of Barack Obama.
Empty Resume, Empty Promises
Obama has arisen from nothingness, from one accomplishment-free political gig to another, propped up by leftists adulators and sycophants, to offer a perfect portrait of socialism's eternal snare. Forget God; put your hope in mankind. Human arrogance and narcissistic pride. From the fall in the Garden to the present, from generation to generation, Satan's delusion holds sway with many.
Barack Obama is walking, talking, breathing narcissism. The iconography of his campaign is nothing, if not the glorification of Obama, a solitary, quite mortal man. They must glorify Obama's image because, in reality, he has no accomplishments that bear mention.
Obama struts his nothingness with grace; even his detractors admit that.
What could more openly and more amply demonstrate the absolute emptiness of socialism's promise than the perfectly empty resume of its newest hero?
What could possibly more adequately prove the personalized utopianism of his followers than that they believe in a man who has borne no fruitful action?
Barack Obama offers 'collective salvation' in the form of socialist government interventions in every sphere of life, from starting-at-birth state education, to socialized, universal health care, to a tripling of the already failing AmeriCorps. This socialist answer to all that ails mankind isn't anything new. It's old, tried, and just as untrue now as in its beginning.
Beware the man who promises what man simply lacks the power to bestow.
'The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule it.'

Arguments are a necessity if you want to score .As health care has been mentionned by a few here and the USA compared to Canada,I'll gladly jump in that topic .It is important and I expect that every civilized human being expects other humans to have full access to proper medical treatment ,regardless of financial assets .That is my own prerequisite for a decent conversation about health care .If you disagree with this,no use arguing with me here ,we're not in the same league .For as much as I remember Canada does not have one single health sustem .Having been in ubec for a few months ,they told me that their system is more comparable to the european system (which doesn't really exist either as europe is composed of multiple countreis rather than one single one ).
In most european countries we don't have long waiting lists at all .If you have a serious problem you'll be laying on the operation table withing very short time, possibly within a few days if the problem is urgent.or things like a burst appendice, you'll be operated within one hour ,as it should .Nobody here complains of waiting lists in my country, there are none .you dont believe me?Fine just google the words american expats, belgium and whatever else you want about health care, even waiting lists id you want. You'll discover that the things that are said about universal health care by your private inurnce lobbies are all untue .You ought to be embarassed at the lies they tell you.Why should universal health care be more time consuming than the extremely burocratic system the USA offers .Here you go see a doctor,he makes a diagnostic with the help of the exact same tools and gizmos you have and then proposes the treatment .There is nobody looking over his shoulder to see if the treatment is covered by your insurance at all,so ...no burocracy at all .On top of that our system is cheaper ,as your own statistics point out.Your system, privatized and cut to the needs and greed of your insurance companies is the most expensive system in the world .If you believe your system is better still, fine,I'll take your word for it,providing you have something better to offer than the argument that there are hundeds of websites staing Michael Moore is a liar .That king o silly argument must have been brought in by a child .Need I say I can pove on similar logics that McCain is a senile old fool?I could tell you that thousands of websites point to that .I'm sorry but that kind of arguments is for children and simpletons to be used .To those that have no better arguments;get an education. To the others that think your health system is better, fine then, show me your cards ...
Who gives a rat's a** whose health system is better than someone else's.
McCain was at the center of this article. Everyone goes off on a rant forgetting what they started out with. McCain is a hot head, and when it comes to town meetings, he will boil over - wait and see.
'I one of the people who helped secure your freedom'
Blow it out your rear end, mofo.
First off, turd breath, you did not secure my freedom. I have been free all my life. I did enlist. I volunteered, I was not drafted. Ever hear of a place called Nam, A-hole? Two tours. And I was no REMF.(rear echelon mother f****er.)
Secondly, learn the language: 'I one of the people...' You illiterate moron.
Obama happens to be the frontrunner who's black and the dem libnazi machine decides to warm the white voter with slavery reparations in the middle of the campaign. grrrrrrreat move!
Who invented this...Karl Rove!?
Obama suddenly mouths 'compromise' on offshore drilling, knowing the same dildo voter who thinks Obama is an Irish name will believe him!
I'm actually enthralled to see how far Obama can go with his propaganda, almost like some kind of experiment. His libnazi drive-by media has thrown nothing but softballs, He's avoiided most of the pressing issues, the public letting him, and he's made good moves, exploiting his advantages.
McCain is trying to run his campaign, the mistake being he's trying to appeak to his senate constituancy instead of the American public. Hopefully this will change, but I'm not optimistic.
McCain is apologizing for voting against MLK Day - said he was wrong.
'McCain is a hot head, and when it comes to town meetings, he will boil over - wait and see.'
The ones that Obama chickened out on? Why would he boil over if Obama was too much of a coward to show up because he is afraid to speak off a teleprompter?
'I have been free all my life.'
Thanks to the efforts of your southern neighbor.
'I did enlist. I volunteered, I was not drafted. Ever hear of a place called Nam, '
Yeah, I heard of Nam, LOL! you are such a liar. Canada didn't send troops to Vietnam. Simply pathetic.
'Two tours.'
Were you a VC? LOL...
Barack Obama kinda-sorta admits that his “I don’t look like those other presidents” line just might be referring to his race.
“I don’t think it’s accurate to say that my comments have nothing to do with race,” Obama said. “Here’s what I was saying and I think this should be undisputed: That I don’t come out of central casting, when it comes to presidential races. For a whole range of reasons. I’m young, I’m new to the national scene, my name is Barack Obama, I am African American, I was born in Hawaii, I spent time in Indonesia. I do not have the typical biography of a presidential candidate.”
Obama should have a word with his staff, then, so they don’t continue to reflexively deny things that are obvious to anyone with more than two brain cells.
An Obama spokesman denied that the line about “dollar bills” was related to the Democrat’s race...
