Come off it William lost his mother first to nannies at about one second old and then to Eton. If I had a 'mummy' who sent me packing off to strangers at the first opportunity so she could live her own life virtually completely free of me I wouldn't be too chuffed.

William never knew what it was to have a mother let alone lose one.
