Why should the PJ open its files to anyone?
At the very least, such files should remain sealed until the re-enactment is complete, and by 'complete,' that would mean that the McCanns are present, cooperative not obstructive, and that the PJ then have time to evaluate the re-enactment and all investigations that would stem from it.
so...are the McCanns and their friends coming back to Portugal for the reenactment, then?
If it were your kid missing and you were innocent of any wrongdoing, you'd be on the very first plane back.
But Madeleine isn't your kid, is she? She's their kid....or was their kid.
If you give the PJ enough time and cooperation, they will solve this case. The guilty may well go unpunished, but such is life. Perhaps the weight of a whole lifetime lived as a lie, in the end, is punishment enough.
