That's enoughAug 29th, 2007 - 23:10:31

Although I initially followed this case with interest, I'm starting to get a tad fed up with it. I'm not sure whether it's because of the sensationalist reporting, the less than efficient investigating or the gradual nagging suspicion that has started to creep in.

I'm also aware that many children go missing in similar circumstances but they never get this much attention. Does anyone remember the British couple who lost their TWO children to abductors in the early 1990's? They were holidaying in a famous amusement park in the US and their 2 children ( who were under the age of 5) were taken. They got hardly a paragraph written 'cos the famous household amusement company managed to get it buried. They never found the kids either. What a contrast. Shame that the parents of those two kids weren't doctors....

If those two 'doctors' had left those kids in that manner in England, it would be a serious case for the social services. With this in mind, those parents are hiding something..... They have to answer for their actions. If it was anyone else, the twins would have been placed on the AT RISK register by now!!!!!

How on earth can these two killers lawfully sue a Portuguese newspaper for libel when the criminal investigation is still in hand ? They are acting as stupid as their deceitful behaviour ever since they killed her.
NO idiotic lawyer could possibly file a libel action against anybody on behalf of a client whilst that client is still the subject of a police enquiry. They would look awfully silly if their client was indited for
murder, just like the paper said. Let us not all play silly buggers.

For heavens sake have some common sense !! The investigation just MAY result in that client being charged with MURDER, so where is the libel ?
These two are as guilty as hell and the police know it, so whilst these
two murderers get upset at being tumbled by a newspaper and use the
Madeleine fund to try and smokescreen their despicable existence, let us hope that by some act of God they get killed in a car crash or some other form of retribution, then we can all forget the entire disgusting saga.

I think you will find that the McCanns themselves are not the investigation, it is Madeleine.

To be honest, I don't know how they have continued for so long without walking out on the journalists' interviewing them. (I use the term very loosely).

As regards the difference between similar cases in the 1990's - you have to admit that we live in a totally different age of technology, and how the internet has been used to great advantage to spread posters, emails, photos etc.

Lisa my dear, sorry you have fallen flat on this one -
Madeleine is NOT the source of investigation at all and never has been - she is the CAUSE of it. It is people who are being investigated to find out who killed her and these two parents are prime suspects. Naturally the police would love to find her body, but as the murdering duo will not tell them, they have very little to go on since they already have carried out a number of searches, with and without dogs. We all await further forensic results with real hope of a conviction.
The police already have considerable evidence including a very positive line that the two killers administered an accidental over-dose of sedative by intravenous injection. The syringe kit has been found. This was done because the little girl was having a bad evening and they wanted to go out with their lovely friends for bite to eat. When dear old Daddy found her dead, panic set in and he took her away in his rented car and dumped her somewhere - we do not know where yet. Hence the missing half hour or so.
They then invented that laughable cock and bull story about open patio doors and a ghostly mystery man whisking her away to various places in the world, you name it and Daddy and Mummy went there at other peoples expense - we all know the rest of this disgusting and sickening story.

It is only a matter of time before some firm evidence comes to light which enables the police to charge these parents with murder or manslaughter.
Then when they are placed in a nice but hopefully very uncomfortable Portuguese prison cell for 25 years or so, we can all live happily ever after.

To Inspector Clouseau,
Jolly well said! I totally agree with everything you've said.
It seems obvious really. Those two idiot 'doctors' couldn't possibly let everyone find out how stupid they've been. They are totally aware of what trouble they'd be in if their negligence was to be found out.
Their selfish actions would impact on their professional and personal lives.
Let's forget the bit about the overdosing for a moment. The mere fact that they left three young children unattended should be enough for them to have some serious explaining to do.
All this hooha about the abduction has completely overshadowed the serious significance about leaving those children alone. Whatever the outcome, I hope that they are hauled up in an inquiry. They are not fit to be providers of primary health care. Professional yuppie doctors with their God like egoes are the worst. I meet types like them all the time. They make me sick.

Inspector Clouseau,

I would love to know where you get your information to be so convinced of what you write... I certainly hope it is not the media. their overhyped circus seems to have been riddled with innacurate creative attempts at journalism. If we ever find out what really happened I will be suprised.. everything to date has been purely speculative, wouldn't you agree?

Lisa, oy luv the oyrish.
You are so right to say the incredibly boring saga of missing Maddie has become a mega-circus and accrued an enormous pile of sheer crappy comments, lies, accusations and a fantastic chorus girl performance by the idiot Portuguese police, who could not catch a cold stripped naked in the Arctic, let alone a criminal in Praia da Luz.
Quite frankly, me and Kato have had a discussion and we feel strongly that the Pink Panther did it and like his other crimes which I had the pleasure of not solving - he has got away yet again. Not surprising, the comic opera Portuguese police would not notice a bad smell even if you stuck it up their noses.
I do hope the Surete will not sack me or put me back on traffic duty, maybe not since last time they did I caused one hell of a blockage around the Arc de Triomphe, Paris came to a standstill.

Yes the technology is different but I think that newspapers and journalists could have covered the US sibling case more.
I bet most of you don't even know about the case.

Strange happeningsSep 7th, 2007 - 15:01:38

looks like we may all be proved right as the parents are now offically 'suspects' - yet the family spokesperson (i thought only large businesses had these....oops i forgot about mccanns LTD! with 1 million turnover!) is trying to steamroll this with the pathetic reason that it affords them greater legal protection.....protection from whom i ask? - the prosecution team?

sometimes truth is stranger than fiction...................

Of course he walked out. When you don't have an answer to a question that was not previously shown to you, you choke, specially if you KNOW you're involved in what happened to your daughter. Complaining about the media in Portugal? Look at the sick-minded blood-thirsty media in your own country. That's a bad media. Lies, lies and lies. That's all you get from British newspapers. I think the Portuguese authorities should sue every single limey newspaper that's 'covering' this story. That's what should happen. They don't know the first thing about Portuguese law, all they care about is how many newspapers they sell.

They are both as guilty as hell.

If not why did they run back to England at the first chance they had, and OH! What a surprise, they are now attempting to stop the Portuguese extraditing them back to Portugal.

So what if the Portuguese police have made mistakes so do all Police forces.

The sooner they lock these bastards in a deep dark cell the better.

I for one will never ever believe they are anything other than guilty and I have believed this from the start,

What sort of parents leave their kids in a holiday room alone, and bogg off for a meal. Sorry but this does not smack of caring parents to me
