I grew up in an era where the United States waited for no man, the spirit of innovation echoed through the halls of research labs, discoveries changed the way man thought and benefited all mankind, vision extended to the moon and stars.

Now the United States waits for third world up and comers.
sp4 - nonsense. You now live in a vastly different world where their cooperation will be required to achieve ameaningful goal.
A wait designed to provide greedy economic advantage and negotiation leverage.
sp4 - perhaps, but inconsequential without the major industrialized nations all kicking in.
Research labs are on starvation budgets
sp4 - which labs?
while military arms manufacturers are flush with money,
sp4 - look at their earnings
discoveries benefit greedy venture capitalists,
sp4 - it's the free market at work. we need venture capitalists and who is it you're calliung greedy?
and vision extends to killing people in the Middle East in a rightous quest for conformity.
sp4 - All wars are one person forcing their will upon another.
The point made is correct: none of this will help if Russia, India and China sit back. We cannot cut c02 emissions effectively if they do not participate.

Research labs are on starvation budgets while military arms manufacturers are flush with money, discoveries benefit greedy venture capitalists, and vision extends to killing people in the Middle East in a rightous quest for conformity.
