As a permanent resident of the conflict-plagued Swat valley I feel the writer has covered the issue very well.

Growing militancy in Malakand division of which Swat district is a part is slowly destroying our culture of peace and love that has its roots in thousands years old Buddhist civilization.

We need to stop them right now before everything is lost.

Maulana Fazlullah, a firebrand pro-Taliban cleric is to Muslims what ______ is to Christians.

That music might also get drowned out by the nuclear explosions that this region so richly deserves. There are no civilian casualties to worry about...there are no civilians in this valley. Read Winston Churchills' writings about the Malakand Field Force, if you want an insight in the murderous denizens of this region...they deserve whatever we can drop on them. Bon appetit!
