Bush will welcome Slovenian prime minister in July

Washington - The prime minister of Slovenia, Janez Jansa, will meet with US President George W Bush at the White House on July 10, the White House announced Wednesday.

Slovenia has significantly increased its efforts to support democracy in South Central Europe, Afghanistan and Iraq, the White House statement said.

In 2008 Slovenia, a member of NATO since 2004, will be the first new EU member state to assume the EU presidency.
