The resolution, approved 410-8, condemned Iran and Syria for supporting Lebanon-based Hezbollah while praising Israel for minimizing the loss of civilians its military assault on Lebanon.
'The House of Representatives reaffirms its steadfast support for the state of Israel,' the resolution said.
The representatives called on Hamas and Hezbollah to release Israeli soldiers whose abductions have prompted Israeli military assaults in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
