IAEA chief to meet Ahmadinejad in Tehran

Tehran - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) head Mohamed ElBaradei is to meet Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during his visit to Tehran later this week, a senior foreign ministry official told ISNA news agency Wednesday.

Deputy Foreign Minister Alireza Sheikh-Atar said that the aim of ElBaradei's visit to Tehran on Friday and his meeting with the president was to clarify all outstanding issues regarding Iran's nuclear projects.

The official added that besides Ahmadinejad, the United Nations nuclear watchdog chief was also to meet with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saeid Jalili, atomic organization chief Gholam-Reza Aqazadeh and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
