UN Security Council condemns attack and death in Lebanon

New York - The UN Security Council on Thursday condemned in the 'strongest terms' the attack in Lebanon that killed Saleh Aridi, a member of the Lebanese Democratic Party. The council urged the Beirut government to bring before justice the attackers and those who planned or financed the assassination. The attack on Wednesday injured several other people. 'The members of the Security Council emphasized the importance of the unity of all the Lebanese people,' the council said in a statement. 'They reiterated their full support for all ongoing efforts in Lebanon to combat terrorism, solidify democratic institutions, engage in political dialogue and pursue national reconciliation.'

If the UN wants the lebanese government to bring to justice the planners of this car bomb they can get in line as there is a whole list of anti-Syrian politicans and leaders killed by car bombs with HARIRI at the top. Funny how excited the UN gets when a pro-Syrian is bumped off.
