Iran is a blight on the planetAug 7th, 2008 - 14:26:59

So the Iranians have an island where they sort of let the women live like human beings for a few hours...

How nice of them.

'One report on women being bothered by vice squads and business here would collapse and cause problems for both investors and the government,'

That says it all. Is it any wonder why Islam is dying in the Islamic Paradise of Iran?

Kish LoverAug 28th, 2008 - 13:31:45

I visited Kish last year and was stunned that there were no cinemas, bookshops or coffee bars. I come from a country that is predominantly Muslim but we don't have these restrictions. I find these rules really perplexing as I think Iranians are a lovely, friendly people who deserve to live their lives the way they want to. This is a civilisation that gave forth the likes of Hafez and the wonderful Shiraz wine.

Having said all that, I thought Kish was a beautiful place. Fresh air, gorgeous sea.....and the women are stunning. It's a sin to hide beauty. What a waste. ;)

By the way, I am a woman. I am also a non-Muslim.
