Beirut - The four Hezbollah fighters captured during the Second Lebanon war in July-August 2006 between Israel and the militant Shiite movement and held in Israeli jails along with Lebanese militant Samir Kuntar until Wednesday, are: KHODOR ZAIDAN: The 26-year-old held by Israel as an 'illegal combatant' without prisoner of war status. Detained on August 4, 2006 while carrying supplies for Hezbollah fighters. Hailed in Lebanon as a 'live martyr.' MAHER KOURANI: At 32, a veteran Hezbollah fighter who joined its ranks in 1992. He was captured just days before the August 14 ceasefire agreement that ended the 33-day war. He is married to Asraa Kourani, 25. The couple have a 3-year-old son. Kourani's family lives in the southern Lebanese town of Yater. MOHAMMED SROUR: Hezbollah fighter from the village of Aita al- Shaab in southern Lebanon. He reportedly received military training in Iran and eastern Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. HUSSEIN SULEIMAN: Another 23-year-old Hezbollah fighter. Kourani, Srour and Suleiman were detained, for 'causing death' and the 'illegal possession of weapons,' according to Israel's prison authority.
