The Bush admin. and Rice will maintain their public criticism of Israel's theft of palestinian land while in private giving Olmert the green light to continue his settlement plan. Rice will try to persuade the Palestinians to accept or ignore Israel's land theft and sign a peace deal anyway. The US is full aware that Israel is not entitled to the land it captured in 1967 under international law because Israel started the 1967 wars and should not benefit from its aggression. But the US and UN will go along with whatever Israel does or wants, and will not force Israel to abide by international law. This hypocrisy and double standards of the US and UN will not go unnoticed by the world, as Iran is currently being penalized and threatened by the US and UN for exercising its legal right to a nuclear program, and other countries are being forced to abide by international law or face harsh penalities.
Israel will not give the land back to the Palestinians and the Palestinians are not militarily strong enough to retake their land. Therefore, the cycle of violence will continue between the Jews and Palestinians until Israel completes its genocide of the Palestinians, or Iran and the arab countries become as militarily powerful as Israel with nuclear bombs and stop Israel's reign of terror.
