This is pretty obvious because not only will he have to deal with the other sects in Iraq, he will have to deal with christians coming in via the back door to convert him and his people. And, the christian converters shall be backed by the full force of the U.S. army in the name of freedom, namely: The freedom for everyone to convert to christianity.

Conversion can be such a filthy game. But, look at it this way:

'He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.' John 3:36

So, conversion will prevent wrath, and not-life (which is death) upon those that do not obey, so it must all be worth it, right?

Lance, I don't even know where to begin with you. There are less than 100 christians believed to be left in Iraq. You see, they used to number in the tens of thousands but they have either left or been killed by their Muslim brothers. The much of the same holds true in Lebanon. The U.S. and its' military are composed of people of ALL religions, it's a point of pride with most Americans. We provide Korans to our enemy captives, provide them with specially prepared, religiously correct food and in most cases, treat our prisoners of war with respect. The Abu Ghraib stuff doesn't even rise to the level of a typical college fraternity hazing from the 1970's here in the United States. I got treated worse in Marine Corps boot camp. Our enemies BEHEAD their captives, as taught by that most perfect human, the founder of the religion of peace...Muhammed. Freedom of religion is disallowed throughout the Islamic world and is disallowed very specifically in numerous locations throughout the Koran. You seem distraught over the idea of christianity being 'allowed' to spread in a predominantly muslim country. You have shown your hand Khaled, or Ahmed or Muhammed or whatever your name is...ONLY a muslim could get that wound up over people being offered a choice. Islam's the ONLY religion that specifically forbids that choice. I bet it drives you crazy that the U.S. military can take the best army in the Arab/Persian world and wad it up like a piece of notebook paper, without even breaking a sweat. I see you 'Lance'.

'I bet it drives you crazy that the U.S. military can take the best army in the Arab/Persian world and wad it up like a piece of notebook paper, without even breaking a sweat.'

Actually, it was proven beyond a doubt that 10 years or so of sanctions reduced the Iraq army to a pittance and Iraq was essentially defenseless in both supplies and structure, being a shell of its former self, and the U.S. military, for all practical purposes, killed defenseless people.

Furthermore, there were no large stockpiles of any weapon type, and certainly no WMDs or anything of the type. There were, however, small weapons caches.

Your statements are so erroneous that they don't even give the appearance of credibility.

Credibility: Thank you. Although it is obviously true that there were no WMDs in Iraq at the time the U.S. invaded Iraq it is still important for me to be constantly reminded that there are a huge amount of people in the U.S. that are still in denial, even when their own government now concedes there were no WMDs during that time.

Some people define credibility in terms of connections to power, others by truth.

hmmmm....only small caches of weapons found? where are all the current weapons coming from? shall i point to Iran. Muslims seem to kill other muslims with reckless abandon.

I am far from being a practicing christian, but just for fun let me interpret this for lance:

'but he who does not obey the Son will not see life'

By 'life' I do believe this fellow is referring to 'eternal life/resurrection/etc.' The whole 'eternal life' thing is a very important concept for christians.

'Lance' immediately assumed that the line meant 'kill non-christians' because that is what muslim radicals belive their duty to be when they encounter non-muslims. Lance has difficulty understanding any world view beyond his own specifically because islam is so monolithic and tyrannical when it comes to freedom of thought.

thanks to our main man, anal licky, for going to Iran to negotiate with our enemy. He's doing us a favor because we don't negotiate.

eternal life is only important to self-centered sloths who lazily believe that the purpose of life revolves around themselves, and who are so afraid to die that they believe someone will give them a free ticket to heaven so they can live forever with their self-centered selfs.
