As an american, I was hoping a Barack Obama election would represent a change of policy and an honest broker for the Middle East. That hope was shattered yesterday with the Obama speech before AIPAC. Obama not only verbalized a continuation of the unjust US policy in the Middle East, but verbalized support for Israel's theft of East Jerusalem. This was a total shock and a wake up call for all. Arab countries and Iran need to be in the same position to defend themselves as Israel. Therefore, they need nuclear weapons to counterbalance those of Israel

Wonderfull talk Obama.

Lets keep it up for another 60 years. By then every country in the ME will have their nuclear wareheads and try as you may, you can't stop it.
Trillons of dollars can buy a lota nuk-heads.

Common McCain, lets go after Iran - We all know that $4 an gallon for gas is cheap. $300 a barrel of oil is more like it. By the way, whats the limit on YOUR gas card? Not your wife, yours?

Actually, I am not worried about $300 a barrel for oil, because im 30 years will have subsitute, maybe.

To Janice and others

Your comments do not intimidate or scare me. I am an american of many generations but I believe that other people in the world have the same right to life, liberty, and property (substituted for pursue of happiness)that americans have. I do not like the unjust policy of the US toward the Middle East and the unconditional support given to the apartheid, racist, state of Israel, which is engaged in land stealing, genocide, war crimes and human rights violations of the Palestinian people. I find it hypocritical that you and others can live in the US and enjoy rights and privileges that you are so eager to deny others. What hypocrites!!!

Hey marge, ..It's not a US policy against the Middle East, ..It is a policy that defends Isreal against attackers, such as the neighboring muslim states have done ,..like the last 3 wars that the muslims started against isreal, and got their collective rear-ends handed to them!

BTW, I am Blonde, blue eyed Aryan type, ..and still respect Isreal before any muslim state to date, ..especialy Palestinians!

It's an unfortunate fact, but in order to get elected in this country, you must appeal to all parties. All politicians lie to get your votes. The only reason I vote for Obama is because he, hopefully, hasn't been in Washington long enough to have been tainted by lobbyists. His policies are a 180 from GW's which in my book is already a win.

One more comment about the image of Islam being portrayed today. How is it that the US government has managed to do what the Nazis did to the jews in WWII? It's quite amazing if you think about it! The Nazis decalred the jews as the enemy, a sort of disease that the world must be rid of. That same rhetoric is being used against Islam today. How did this happen? The world said 'never again' and here we are.

to dave,
those wars started because Zionists systemically chased out all palestinians in the late 1930s, so it was a stolen land. There was no israel before WWII. Do read some history, will u? If u look at the wall, and over 100 more settlements in palestine territory in the last 20 years, it's a land grab.

Granted, it had happened, let's move forward and make a peace deal. Both sides are stubborn to compromise, american hold the cash and arsenal (where else did israel get tanks from?), u can broker this deal. xx
