I don't understand how one can accuse Palestinian 'state-controlled media' (recall, Palestine doesn't have an established state) when Israel's media is so outrageously Pro-Israeli. There is no denying that there are examples of rampant anti-Semitism throughout history, but can you make the point of Arabs removing Israelis from their countries when Israel did the same? Hypocritical arguments don't make sense.
In 1947 the UN voted to divide the area into 2 states - one Jewish and one Arab. The Jews accepted this 'two-state' solution in '47, 5 Arab states and the Palestinians rejected it and invaded the newly-formed UN-approved state of Israel. Now, in 2008, on the anniversary of the 'Nakba', 'moderate' Arab leaders say that justice will occur only if there are 2 States, Israel and Palestine.
Now who did you say the hypocrites are?
At the time of UN partition in 1947 the demographic problem was of the greatest concern for the Zionists because Palestinians outnumbered Jews in Palestine. (Notice the name of Palestine)”The proposed Jewish state: 498,000 Jews vs. 435,000 Palestinians; and the proposed Palestinian state: 10,000 Jews vs. 725,000 Arabs. These population numbers make it very clear why chasing the Palestinians from their land became a Zionist imperative.
Note the early Zionist popular saying “A land [Palestine] without a people for a people [Jews] without a land.
Powerful religious fundamentalists and others with their goal of a Greater Israel won the day and settlements began to be built in the Occupied Territories. Jewish settlements being built in the Occupied Territories while it [the U.S.] continued to finance these settlements with ongoing very large annual funding given to Israel. A great deal of land around the settlements and along the interconnecting Israeli only road systems has been seized and cleared of Palestinian homes and centuries old olive groves.
The detailed maps of the present settlement systems in the Occupied Territories are not generally available to the outside world. Three million Palestinians are forced to live with these settlement “facts” (plus the ever ongoing Palestinian home and farm demolitions, and a general breakup of their civil infrastructure) day in and day out.
zionists are the root of all evil:
The letter of Yusef, chief of the Jews of Constantinople that laid out a plan of infiltration and subversion of Christian Spain
Asked by the Jews of Spain how they could resist the King of Spain who was forcing them to convert or even killing them, Yusef replied:
Where you say that the King of Spain would convert you to Christianity, do it because you have no alternative. Where you say that they deprive you of your property, make your sons merchants so that little by little you can take theirs. Where you say that they are robbing you of your lives, make your sons doctors and apothecaries so that you can end theirs. Where you say that they are destroying your synagogues, make your sons clerics and theologians, so you can destroy their churches. And as far as your other troubles are concerned, make your sons advocates, administrators, lawyers, and advisors, and let them take part in affairs of state so that you can control those affairs and gain land.
He forgot to mention media, but it’s understandable by that time
i cant believe the arabs are allowed to spread such disinformation. last i checked, none of the arab states are willing to take in the 'refugees' and i ask why? well, its because without those refugees, they would lose a major trump card in their battle against israel.
also, the arabs rejected the UN mandate that would have made homelands for israel and palestine. and lets not forget the fact that when the arabs were given a chance for democracy who did they vote in? they voted for hamas, an interntionally recognized terrorist organization.
you reap what you sow.
In response to the author of 'Arabs cause of Palestinian's 'disaster'':
Did I make any arguments about the main issue in my previous statement? No. I was merely responding to the first comment. Therefore, when discussing the issues from the article, taking a line out of context to prove a point isn't viable.
In response to the author of 'disgusting ignorance':
When they voted, the Palestinians actually voted for Hamas AND Fatah. Hamas was only elected in Gaza, Fatah was elected in the West Bank.
Author of 'disgusting ignorance', why do you think that an increasingly large number of Israel university students are beginning to sympathize with the plight of the modern-day Palestinian? (That is a fact that I read about in an article written by an Israeli man who was furious about said fact) Why would the newest bright and young generation of Israelis be defenders of the opposing cause? I can only assume that it is because the 'disgusting ignorance' comes from extremists who deplore the 'extremism' of others - people like yourself.
To any/all Israeli supporters:
Can any of you present a viable argument that doesn't refer back to '47?

Arabs regimes hold 99% of middle east land, & untold oil wealth yet cannot resettle these refugees for which they are clearly culpable. Arab governments and palestinians turned down the UN partition plan in 1948, declared war on israel at its inception and kicked jews out of their countries who had lived there for millenia. Why can paelsitnians get citizenship in europe, US and Canada, yet not for example, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Egypt? Somehow after pakistan and India split, they resettled their refugees. Why do the Arab regimes not care for their brethren, only feed their hatred through so much of their state controlled media...
