'... humanitarian and diplomatic norms...'? The Iranian Foreign Ministry actually had the gall to speak of 'humanitarian and diplomatic norms'?
I think I will go view Iranians stoning women and gays, and contemplate 'humanitarian and diplomatic norms'.

The koran offends me. Should I start a riot now?
It would be just.

I always thought Iran did not have a sense of humour but when they mention 'Contrary to humanitarian and diplomatic norms' you have just got to laugh.

It is clear that both sides are not going to resolve this without outside help. I believe none of the countries would want to get involve in this.

I just like to remind the people who are involve in this situation to remember what causes world war 1. it was an assassination of a prince who i think is very insignificant event if you think about the catastrophe that it leads to. From the mass murdering aka war between countries and to the extermination plan of the jewish people. Hitler was an indirect result of that first world war.

Now, Is this fight worth it? Worth all the consequences you all have to face in the later time? Remember, No one wins in a war.

I hope that some of the people would realize that an apology can and have prevent mass murdering of the innocent. (regardless of what people say, the innocent will always get killed in a war)

Please spread these words, 'Is an apology worth a million lives? ultimately, thats the end result regardless of the situation.'

I am just someone who wants to live in a world that value peace, not confrontation

Yeah....'contrary to both humanitarian and democratic norms' Do these fanatical freaks even know what those words mean? I agree EVERY newspaper and website in the world should make images like the Dutch and we should flood the world with all these images!~

And yeah innocent people do die in wars but killing those islamic freaks would be such a treat for me..... Several times a week i contemplate joining the military just so I can kill some of them. Does that make me bad? I don't care if it does it would make me feel better. Only if I could join for a year and not 4 I would join and if they would put me in a position to kill them. the military should think about doin that, I could go in and relieve some of our soldiers so they could see their family and I could get what I want, to send those terrorist to hell!

Works out for everybody!

why is it that in any part of the world, where there is trouble, it is only muslim people and their religion involved and no other religion is having problems. is everyone else not religious enough, is it that muslim people love their religion more than everyone else or they are simply fanatics and crazy?

Life is simple when we clump everybody into a 'box'.
Yes, there are fanatics who have nothing else to do
but incite violence. Even on our 'side of the fence'.
But there are many more Muslims who are peace loving,
and who are opposed to the 'war mongers' because of
what they really believe. Make the distinction between
politics and truth before jumping to conclusions. Best
to walk away from ignorance.

I would just like to say to all those who leave comments about something which you do know or understand. No, you do not know anything about any situation outside the US and an even more resounding 'NO' to those of you think you understand anything about the world in which you live. The US media has such a tight grip on what you see and hear, that most of you are no more than drooling dogs waiting on Pavlov's bell. If you want to go to war, then by all means. But at least understand completely the crap you are getting in to. You are so quick to judge people, but are not willing to learn anything about them. As though your way of life is better. Have any of you hatred filled animals even tried to see it from their point of view. No you have not. And no, Fox news is not fair and balanced. Nor is CNN, MSNBC, or any other US based media organization. So for all you war mongers out there, I wish you ten times the suffering that the US has caused people around the world.

The bottom line is that we don't have to start a world war to establish that violence and terrorism are not appropriate responses to being offended. I believe that the Christians showed the world during the Kathy Griffin debacle that it is possible to be faced with blasphemy and handle it in a mature and civilized manner. They didn't strap bombs to the their chests or stab cartoonists. Certainly they were upset but it's not so much to ask that people not fly off the handle when it comes to someone making a crack on their religion. For some reason, not sure if it's cultural deficiencies or just a lack of good parents, but Muslims tend to fly into an uncontrollable rage over these kinds of things. That's why the rest of the world views them as uncivilized animals. If they could prove otherwise I think that the world would be eager to acknowledge the change.

Hi Everybody,
Yes, alot of muslims are fanatics, alot of muslims are illeterate, and terrorism that was brought to the world in those past years was the most horrific thing that ever happened in history. In World War I & II people chose to fight and kill or get killed... but tearing down 2 towers filled with people or bombing train stations & bus stops is something beyond extreme madness.

But that has NOTHING to do with the religion they are following, nor the great man they are following, Mohamed!

Those feelings against islamic religion or muslims in general is just pure racism.

People never judged christianity by individual priests molesting children, or Far East people by eating babies, or looked at Germans as butchers for what Hitler has done.

Also for people who are wondering if muslims love god and religion more than anybody else, the answer is yes.

Not only Mohamed they feel sensitive about, but making Jesus Christ like toys and chocolate bars and eating them in holidays, or Jews calling their dogs Moses or Isaac.

Who prays to God 5 times a day? Who thanks God when they wake up and before they sleep, after & before they eat, when they put on their clothes, and hell! even every time they sneeze!

Muslims love and respect God and the prophets more than anybody else does. Living in poorer countries that don't provide enough education for it's people and no media effect what so ever does not change facts.

For all people feeling bad things about not only muslims, but any 'group of people': be fair and don't blame all for individual mistakes!

Dear Angry Muslim. Why are you so angry? And why are you so afraid of choices? What are you afraid of? Why do you allow a 7th century person dictate what you should think? Most of us in the West turn off the television when we see something that infuriates us, or chose not to see a play or visit a museum that may offend us. Maybe we write an indignant letter to the editor or yell at our children. But we don't run out into the streets and burn flags of countries thousand of miles away. Some of you apparently insist on living in our free societies -- in fact, millions of you -- but once here a disturbingly large percentage of you insists on turning the free society that has welcomed you into a wasteland of anger and hate because we don't think like you. Why do you keep coming, then? Don't you see the direct corrolation between freedom of thought and equality between the sexes as major reasons for the wealth of a country like Denmark? A tiny country with no oil or other natural resources. The true wealth of Denmark (or Great Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, Holland, etc., etc.) is in the power of choice and the freedom to think. Yes, we have religious radicals, Christians especially, but at least Christianity (or, for that matter, Judaism) has dropped the more unappetizing aspects of its traditions. Islam has not. To follow Islam is to follow a 7th century prophet who heard angels speak to him in the desert. What these angels had to say was pretty much the most warring and hateful aspects of the Jewish Old Testament which enlightened Arabs had luckily since forgotten. Isn't it time that you, Angry Muslim (and I'm speaking to you, not your countrymen and women who have not taken to the streets) look at the wonders of the world and begin to pull against the shackles that bind you on hand and foot? How about choosing NOT to be so angry, for a start, and read a good book or watch a nice movie on the telly instead of screaming and yelling and threatening others.

Meanwhile, I, a proud atheist who knows that God never existed and never COULD have existed (remember Darwin?), reserve the right to blaspheme to the extend a free and open society allows me. If you don't like it, take me to court. But don't demand to live in my country and benefit from my social welfare system (paid for by my exhorbitant taxes) without at least trying to understand what I'm about. So to Iran and other Islamic countries, don't send any more 'refugees' to my weary little country; we simply cannot take much more school-burnings, torched cars and Arab kids calling our young girls Danish whores because they don't wear burkas.

Thank you for your indulgence of this long rant.

Nash you are wrong, Islam is being judged by its actions. Its a filthy thing, spawned of a delusional, pedophile arab peasent. Look at its history! The middle east was the cradle of learning, math, libaries, maps, and science right up to 1400yrs ago. Since then it became a stagnant thing of weak lazy peoples who coudnt defend themselves against a dynamic world..now their pissed and full of hate. Now they recreate Nazism and act like they invented it..its to funny. I don't think that history will even remember this phase, your death cult will go the way of the nazis but without a fight. The oil will run out and you guys will be back to scavanging from those that pass through and raping each others women, goats and camels. When you do this you will claim how important you are and the world will ignore you. The Koran is shit as you well know, it makes no sense under rational debate, thats why they keep adding crap to it as you well no. Wake up and join the world, hasnt it been long enough?

There is an old saying “Thank God for choosing my enemies amongst the stupidest”, and that is exactly what we see here. If I was a hard-line conservative in Iran I would love this kind of confrontation just before an election! Wouldn’t you? I would even pay the papers to reprint them every week till the Election Day and blame the soft approaches of the liberals in the past (and overshadowing my own weaknesses)! When people are enraged they usually gather around those who have simple but radical and violent solutions (i.e. the Iranian Neo-conservatives; I bet you didn’t know we had Neo-Cons in Iran!). Bye bye liberals, hello neo-cons. Lol …

There is nothing more ironic than muslims violently protesting their non-violence.

Well, maybe muslims shooting rockets at Israeli power plants then complaining that Israel isn't sending them enough electricity.

That one is pretty good too! These guys are giving away very funny material.

I'm absolutely disgusted at most of the ignorant inflammatory nonsense being mentioned above. These people are the reason why there is hatred, their lies and partisan views allay to the rest of us with open eyes the fear that there is going to be confrontation if only to wake these dormant slugs out of their fictional reality.

Mohammed is revered to the extent that muslims praise him and feel him as part of the fabric of their very existence, so revered that images of him are sanctimonious to the hardened followers of Islam. Western morality has been slackened over generations from the media's hedonistic imagery and depiction's, in periodicals, tv, radio. The west has its own right to develop in its own manner, although many would prefer to see a change in the western societies moral sensibilities. Why then are there new laws propagated to silence decent from liberal and muslim communities if freedom of speech is so valued? No - it was an error to print the images again, and if they wish to insult the very people who supply them the power to generate their machines and continue the growth of their countries then don't be suprised when the market moves to the east and leaves the dying west on its knees. The Danish Government will regret its actions.

'Mohammed is revered to the extent that muslims praise him and feel him as part of the fabric of their very existence...'

You mean they are brainwashed? So much so they are ready to deliberately blow up women and children, etc., etc. That's all BS. Stop apologizing for them.

Think of it like gravity. If there is some ultimate truth to be found in oppressing women, pedophelia, and other behaviors of the great prophet, then things will take their natural course without your overt car-b-ques and beheadings.

If you truly believe it - relax - it will happen.

If your faith is weak you will try to take action into your own hands. The type of action - threats - beheadings - bombs - simply reflects your inner nature (as opposed to peaceful protest like Gandhi).

'Why then are there new laws propagated to silence decent from liberal and muslim communities if freedom of speech is so valued?'

For example?

'if they wish to insult the very people who supply them the power to generate their machines and continue the growth of their countries then don't be suprised when the market moves to the east and leaves the dying west on its knees.'

Its true that many countries in ME have perceived latent power in terms of their ability to control flow of oil. The geological accident that put them on top of oil definitely makes them the center of attention. To what extent they could really alter the basics is questionable.

Prior to Chinese consumption being able to absorb world oil output to the fundamental jeopardy of the west, the west may well have moved on from its dependence. If it hasn't, it will simply take what it needs. In either case, Middle Eastern 'lords' ought to enjoy this golden age of wealth and importance as it will pass.

'The Danish Government will regret its actions.'

What did the Danish governmnet do?
