'The US and Iran cooperated on nuclear programs as far back as late 50's.' He then goes on to say: 'These are very significant facilities that were not disclosed... Because of this lack of honesty on behalf of Iran, ...'
You also say: 'If Iran had perfectly legal intentions with these facilities, why would it hide them?' What about your country?
Charles, as the US was involved they must share culpability in this affair. You cannot tar Iran without tarring your beloved america.
CHARLES.
PS the above posting is the last one in relation to your contributions.
Trying to explore different angles to a political discussion is imposible
when one is faced with a closed mind. bye.
Charles seem to have a problem with the truth. The US is the most lying, secret, violent, warmongering nation on the earth. When a sovereign nation chooses not to disclose everything internal, Chuck gets his nose right out of joint. When a person points out inconsistancies in his rhetoric, he goes into attack dog mode. It is impossible to have intelligent discourse with a Bush lap dog who's mind is intercoursed.
@Waine
I have read lots of people trying to rationalize/spin what he said, but nothing softens it. I am open to new info though so please post away.
Here is link the fellow above provided:

Look carefully at what he says. He wants Israel eradeicated. Look at what he does. He supports/finances/trains armed non-state groups/terrorists who attack Israel.
From the Israeli perspective, this fellow and his regime are trying to provoke an existential threat. This is not a guy who wants to build a constructive relationship based on cooperation, trust, etc.
Do you want to argue that he is not threatening the existence of Israel?
Of what real use is Irael anyway? A country with a population of 71 million, of which 20% is arabic, that would be bankrupt without a sugar daddy. A country that is the most destabilizing entity in the Muddled East. A country that whines and snivels like a spoiled child. A country that has no intention of ever making peace with the Palestinians, until they are all dead. A country that murders foreigners in foreign countries. A nation that bombs foreign facilities. A country that shows no qualms about pulling the trigger at any percieved, but not tangible, threat. A country of religious fundamentalists that is no different from any other religious/political entity. Of what use is Israel?
'When a sovereign nation chooses not to disclose everything internal...'
As I said before, we aren't talking about pie recipes.
Here is the leader of a radical theocracy who is trying to motivate his people to kill. I'm not sure how else to interpret state sponsored rhythmic rabid 'death to america' rallies. For anyone who is not living in the dark ages emotionally and intellectually, his statements are threatening.
He certainly wants Israel (and the US for good measure - the crowds just love that!) eradicated and says it explicitely and implicitely. If I were an Israeli I would certainly not ignore his gestures and rhetoric.
If he wants war and escalation, keep up the aggressive behavior. He might just get it. Don't blame Israel.
If he wants peace and cooperation, he will take a different tone and he won't rhetorically and materially support the destruction of a UN member state.
I look forward to the day but I'm not holding my breath.
The hatred you guys spew is truly awe inspiring.
'If he wants war and escalation, keep up the aggressive behavior. He might just get it.' The only country that wants war is the US. The only country that is truely aggessive is the US.
'If he wants peace and cooperation, he will take a different tone and he won't rhetorically and materially support the destruction of a UN member state.' Are you talking about G.W. Bush? If not, you should be. For a man who would not go to war for his country when he was young, he sure has caused a lot of young men to die. Keep holding your breath. Those two brain cells you've got left will expire from lack of oxygen and the web will be free of yet another Bush apologist.
'The only country that wants war is the US.'
That's your imagination.
Who holds rallies where frenzied mobs scream for 'death to US/Israel/denmark/'insert your country here''
Iran is providing material support and training to non-state terror groups who kill Israelis and Americans.
Israel is not chanting 'death to Iran.' The US - and certainly not Denmark - are not screaming for death to Iran. Do you understand?
Forget about right/wrong for a moment. Who is deliberately creating the
escalation? Who is inciting tens of millions of muslims to a millenium old struggle?
Bringing up GW Bush is pretty pathetic considering muslim mobs incited by their dictators have been burning US effigies since GWB was in high school - if not before. Trying to conflate the irrational muslim/arab violence and zealotry is just plain ignorant.
Charles, Charles, Charles. Everything that you say about other countries can be said about yours. Remember that when you point your finger at someting, three are pointing back at you. Try it sometime. Look at yoor hand when you point. There is a huge difference between chanting something and dropping bombs, so your assertion is a non sequitur. Do you know the meaning of the word conflate? It means combine or confuse. Try picking another word. Have someone who is educated explain its meaning to you, using very, very simple words. To reword your statement: 'Trying to understand the irrational american violence and zealotry is just plain impossible.' And yes bringing up that pathetic little monkey wasn't fair was it? But he is your monkey and he has a lot to answer for. But that is hard to explain to someone as ignorant as you, for you call anyone who isn't in complete accord with you, ignorant. You also use the word ignorant a lot. It must be your favorite word as it describes you perfectly.
Trying to conflate the irrational muslim/arab violence and zealotry is just plain ignorant.
My apologies for previous...
Thanks for that quick definition of conflate - What I had intended to type was:
'Trying to conflate the 'irrational muslim/arab violence and zealotry' with GWB is just plain ignorant.' Because as you know - that hate filled nonsense has been going on since before Bush was Pres.
But golly if you aren't smart for correcting my typing error.
I know its hard for you to consider any world event as not being the fault of jews/US. It would be funny if it weren't so tragic.
'The only country that wants war is the US.'
That's your imagination.'
Oh, really Charles. Does Afghanistan say anything to you? Does Iran say anything to you? Does the crap comming from thw Whiteahorehouse about Iran say anything to you? To me it says you are a pack of warmongering simians.
In re: conflate. That wasn't a typing error that you committed. It was a brain fart.
Why am I practically the only one here with a name? Weren't any of you taught manners?
'Does Afghanistan say anything to you?'
Are you trying to say that the dark ages misogenists who aided and abetted obl and his aq thugs were not deserving of retaliation and overthrow? Or did you forget that they attacked us first?
'Does Iran say anything to you?'
Iran says a lot of threatening garbage - but I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Did we bomb Iran?
'Does the crap comming from thw Whiteahorehouse about Iran say anything to you? To me it says you are a pack of warmongering simians.'
In case you haven't been following this discussion, government sponsored Iranian mobs have been chanting their blood lust for US/Israel. Their President wants Israel (a UN member state) eradicated/removed/obliterated/annihilated/disposed of/etc. (choose your translation). Iran sponsors non-state terrorist groups and uses them as proxies to attack the US and Israel. These non-state actors deliberately bomb civilians and deliberately destroy themselves hoping for eternal salvation. Throw radioctive materials and/or a-bomb into the mix...
As you can well imagine, the US and Israel have taken due note. They may over react. They may under react. They will be blamed either way. But they are reacting. I know that nuance is totally lost on you.
Iran has a wide open road. They can choose all sorts of activities. I see violent provocation and threats. They are explicit and originate from the Iranian head of state.
It still isn't clear to me whether you argue that their provocations are justified because we have a monkey president/etc., or that they aren't being provocative.
'Charles, Charles, Charles. Everything that you say about other countries can be said about yours.'
Where does this happen in the USA?

'Remember that when you point your finger at someting,[sic] three are pointing back at you. Try it sometime. Look at yoor[sic] hand when you point.'
Once again thanks for the kindergarten platitudes.
'There is a huge difference between chanting something and dropping bombs'
Iran is simply the worst regime on the planet. north Korea is a close second. Since 1979, Iranians or Iranian funded and controlled terrorist groups have; invaded the US embassy and held our diplomatic staff for 444 days, took American journalists and a British minister hostage in Lebanon, killing William Buckley, bombed the US embassy in Lebanon killing 17 Americans, bombed the US barracks Beirut which killed 241 Americans on a peacekeeping mission, bombed the Khobar Towers killing 19 Americans, hijacked an aircraft and killed Robert Stethem and dumped his body on the tarmac, bombed a Jewish center in Argentina, killing 85, their proxy Hezbollah has started several conflicts with Israel, including the one last summer which left hundreds dead. They still have a bounty on the head of Salmon Rushdie for writing a book that they didn’t like, they have provided the Shiite death squads in Iraq with training and material as well as the Sunni death squads that go after the Shiites with the objective of creating as much bloodshed in Iraq as passable. They have also been supplying shaped charges and shoulder launched anti-aircraft missiles to kill coalition troops. They Chant 'death to America' on a daily basis in their schools and Mosques, they continually threaten to wipe Israel off the map, they have mined the Strait of Hormuz, they publicly lynch girls for being 'disobedient', they publicly lynch boys for being homosexual, they publicly lash women for the crime of being raped, they stone women to death for infidelity, they censor their news, They beat a Canadian journalist to death because she wrote unflattering stories, they murder political dissidents, invented the suicide bomber, kidnapped British sailors and holding them hostage, kidnapping American aid workers and holding them hostage...ect, ect....
You are a moron for not recognizing the obvious.
'so your assertion is a non sequitur'
Gee, someone learned a new phrase. You sure are in love with 'non sequitur'... Does using that phrase make you feel erudite? LOL, at least you were able to learn something here.
'And yes bringing up that pathetic little monkey wasn't fair was it? '
You have a hell of a nerve calling anyone else a monkey as you have basically only tossed your feces here.
Your point being? You spend a lot of words attacking others, make no sense whatsoever, and just create noise. The only feces here comes from your brainpan.
Let's see now. We have 'Charles' who is a bush apologist attack dog. Then we have 'Not Charles' who walks, talks and stinks like Charles. Is he just another figment of Charles fevered imagination? Does Charles/Not Charles have a multiple personality disorder? Does Charles/Not Charles have a brain? All that is seen on his posts is programmed bunk from the neocon camp. Typical frigging yank, too lazy to get an education and think, really think about things. But that is america, where everything is spoonfed to you, even what to think and say. A pack of hedonistic, jingoistic simians. Go groom yourself, monkey. Go pick nits.
'Iran is simply the worst regime on the planet. north Korea is a close second' How wrong can one person be? The american neocon regime is by far the worst. How many have they killed in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Lybia, Iraq, Nicuagua, Honduras, Panama, Guatamala, Laos, North and South Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Indonesia and Grenada? What about Greece, Iran(1953) Chili, where the CIA directed a right-wing putsch? What about CIAactivities in Angola. Phillipines, and other countries? It doesn't take much to research the american century of interventions, where millions have died. The americans need to be placed behind a guarded, barb-wire fence and never let out again. They are a nation of psychopaths. Their nation is psychotic.
whines and cries about a few dead americans. He whines and snivels about some students chanting: 'Death to america.' What a cry baby. I am not an Islamist, but I await the day when more of these cretins go down in a collapsing office tower. Think about this Notcharles: Maybe you arses are just getting a little bit of your own medicine back. Ye shall reap what ye shall sow.
