How is this the first time I heard about these rockets?! This is lunacy. Why doesn't Israel stop the Palestinians sending them?
Israel stole 200,000 acres of Palestinian land since the beginning of 2007.
So one rocket (missile? anyone?) per 100 acres?
UNSC Resolution 242 needs to be implemented by force (US, Russian and Chinese troops, chasing the illegal settlers out of the West Bank, the Golan Heights, the Sheeba Farms and East Jerusalem!)
Does anyone else have a serious answer? Israel left Gaza a few years ago. I remember watching it on the tv.
@Russell Michaels
Did my list:
''West Bank, the Golan Heights, the Sheeba Farms and East Jerusalem'' include Gaza anywhere?
How serious do you want an answer to be?
A list of Palestinian homes bulldozed?
A list of West Bank highways, that may only be used by people with an Israeli passport?
A list of daily Israeli intimidations vs. the Palestinians?
A list of killed/maimed Palestinian children?
A list of murdered Palestinians, who commited the crime of resisting Israel's occupation and property theft?
Shall I go on?
You are pretty naive, getting your news from TV!

i don't think its good for children to be hurt but the way I see it, you make the Palestinians out to be angels. I don't think the Israeli army does any more than any other army would to protect its citizens. 2,000 rockets in one year sounds terrible. I also saw today that one rocket is fired at Israel every three hours from Gaza Strip . thanks for your views.
I watched this movie! zeitgeistmovie.com
Jordan = Palestine.
I do think refugees/displaced persons should be compensated as part of the solution. But let's please stop pretending that this mythical 'Palestine' full of 'Palestinians' is anything more than the result of brainwashing.
That is the biggest, cruelest and most cynical and deliberate lie that has been perpetrated on the arabs (and the rest of the world) by the arabs.
No solution is even remotely possible until this is acknowledged.
Israel left Gaza and turned it into a concentration camp, completely locking in it's inhabitants, starving the people with blockades of food and electricity, and water, this from a socalled democratic state, who has defied all UN resolutions against that sort of behaviour. A few virtually harmless rockets land in Israel and they punish the whole of the population, collective punishment is illegal under International law but that dosen't matter to the Israelys because America backs them all the way. Stands to reason the USA is as guilty.
CHARLES,
What a wally, it's you that has been brainwashed.
Please do read Ilan Pappe (an Israeli historian, now holding the history chair at the U of Exeter, UK):
The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine ... available at Amazon.com
You'll change your mind in a hurry.
@waine
By that brilliant rebuttal do you mean to imply that my assertion that 'Palestine' = (Trans)Jordan is incorrect?
Really?
You state: ''I don't think the Israeli army does any more than any other army would to protect its citizens.''
That's fair. The rub is, that roughly 200,000+ Israeli citizens are sitting on land that the Zionists have stolen from the Palestinians, in spite of UNSC Resolution 242, which ordered Israel to leave the WestBank 40 years ago, yes: FORTY YEARS AGO!
It is forbidden by international law, to settle occupied territory and it is a crime, to take privately owned land away from people living in occupied land.
Israel deserves 200,000 rockets every day, until the Zionists move their sorry asses out of occupied Palestinian lands.
@Roger
I'm sure there are 2 sides to any conflict. Both sides have their own - opposing views.
I think a balanced approach would be letting the arabs (there really are no such thing as 'Palestians' in the sense most people imagine (ethnicity/language/ nationality)), retain the >70-80% of the Palestine Mandate and change its name from Jordan to Palestine. Perhaps certain other territories could be added to this as well. But let's just stop with the idea of giving them yet another country in what was briefly known as the Palestine Mandate.
Charles, you are playing with words now.
Technically speaking, it was Transjordan, as a British mandate.
Prior to 1948, the Zionists had even a deal with Jordan, to then include the WestBank into Jordan.
But, and you can't deny this, the area was also always known as Palestine, even to the Brits back then up to 1948.
Palestinians were systematically driven from the lands that include the Israel prior to 1967, and the ethnic cleansing continues now in the West Bank, primarily by choking any Palestinian communication between the communities.
The fact remains that the Zionists are the international criminals, not the victims of their land theft. An occupied people, according to international law, has a right to resist occupation ... that goes, btw, for Iraq as well.
@Roger
Whose land was it 40 years ago? Some mythical 'Palestine'? I think not.
I don't mean to sound so flippant about their plight, but the land wasn't Palestinian. It was controlled by Syria, Egypt, and Jordan. They attacked Israel and for months encouraged the people to move out of the way so their tanks could come through and slaughter/annihilate Israel. Look at the papers of the time. All arabs were chomping at the bit for genocide.
But they failed in their mission of annihilation and they lost the war.
Too god damned bad for them and let it be a lesson.
Did they think there would be no consequences if they failed?
It is certainly a muddle now I agree - and I just wish Churchill had not called the arab part of the Palestine Mandate 'Transjordan.' That was quite a costly semantic oops.
@ Charles, the obvious Zionist.
Reminder:
I was referring to the occupied territories as a result of the 1967 war.
The myth you state was invented by Zionists 30 years prior to that war.
Mark Twain once said:
'Who does not read has no advantage over someone who can't read.'
Hint: Ilan Pappe's 'The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine'.
Don't give me the refuted old myth about vacating Palestinians in 1948 -- it's all too convenient for your kind and has been soundly disproven.
I am convinced that the US will get kicked hard in the groin economically as a result of the unabated money stream out of the Fed and the fiscal crisis that will explode in a few more months. When that happens, your failed Zionist state will have to wheather the storm that is brewing around you.
Hezbollah has shown your country what can happen and the only way to deal with Israel is like you deal with Gaza. Not a mouse then will be able to enter Israel, nor be able to leave your 'Zionist entity' -- and your nukes will not help you. You will be strangled without mercy, because you have shown no mercy all those many years. Your hubris will be your undoing and Israel will deserve it hands down.
Over ... and out! I do not enjoy to argue with smut.
The article is about the over 2000 rockets that have been fired into Israel since the beginning of 2007. 'Rogér' says they deserve it because of occupation and genocide. Probably 'Rogér' liked the 9/11 atrocities because the Americans 'deserved it' for supporting Israel and other pariah states. He probably also liked the Bali bombing--hey it was Muslims bombing Aussies and everyone knows Aussies are occupying and genociding the aboriginal lands of Australia. I'll bet 'Rogér' can find a rationale to justify all the kidnappings and murders committed by the Muslim insurgents of the Philippines. See the pattern here? Arab apologists have to twist their morality around and inside out to make things fit.
On the one side we have Israel, a diverse multi-religious and multi-racial democratic state, founded on Jewish historical land taken from the Ottomans by the British. On the other we have Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia--artificial countries carved out of the Ottoman empire a couple of decades prior to Israel's establishment, ruled mainly by tribal chieftains, intolerant of any religion but their own brands of Islam, dictatorial and backward, women treated like slaves.
Israel--boasts many significant contributions to the arts and sciences, Nobel prize winners, innovative in everything from biotechnology to microchips to medical science. The Arab countries--almost no contributions to the arts or sciences. One or two acclaimed poets, a lot of oil exports (thanks to the hard work of American and British engineers), a history of attacking Israel repeatedly. Well, the Arabs did invent one thing--suicide bombers.
Dear Roger, Israel is not perfect, but the Jews earned the right to return to their homeland by 2,000 years of extreme suffering and destitution. They were given a tiny piece of biblical Israel by UN decree and the Arab tribes got the rest of it, the original 2-state arrangement, but the Arabs have never accepted this arrangement. If the Arabs had only been willing to negotiate peacefully, Israel + Palestine today would probably be a calm, prosperous intertwined Jewish-Muslim democracy that raises the property values. But the Arabs believe only in violence and so the Jews have been forced to defend themselves and take security buffers such as Golan.
If you have a magic solution, please do reveal it to the rest of us--we'd love to know the answers to the complex puzzle that is the Middle East.
I also think it odd that Roger et al insist on criticizing Israel as being some sort of cruel oppressive dictatorship because they sometimes cut off electricity to Gazans who try to kill them every day. As if Israel is to blame for the plight of the Palestinians. Has it ever occurred to them that if they attack their neighbor, he might fight back? I am amazed at the restraint shown by Israel. Why don't they try a new experiment: stop trying to kill Israelis. Just for the heck of it. Since killing Israelis just makes things worse, why don't they 'think outside the box' and try not shooting rockets into Israel???
Imagine for a moment the roles were reversed. Roger let slip his own venemous heart and intentions. What is evident to most reasonable people, and most assuredly the Israelis, is that if given the opportunity, the arabs would wipe them out to the last woman and child. Israel harbors no such ill will towards the arabs and Iran have had Israels destruction as their overt/covert policies since Israel was born.
Enough crocodile tears Roger. You and those like you are bigoted frauds.
Can someone explain to me why so called Palestinians are still living in terrible refugee camps in Lebanon a half century after they left Israel? Aren't the populations like 10 times bigger then they were initially? The further back you peel the layers off this 'Palestinian' issue, the more it stinks and makes arabs look bad.
In my opinion and certainty:
Roger wrongly said Israel stole lands from the Palestinians (read Islamic Arabs- they are NOT palestinians). Roger is lying. Jews have been living in those regions for over 3,000 years. These lands were NOT his lands. In 1967 Israel was attacked and following the Geneva accord, a nation that is attacked and wins the war has the right for the conquered lands. Regardless the true facts in history, roger advocates the killing of Jews as excusable. He on purpose \'forgets\' that last attempt his kind has done to lure the world towards the final goal of extermination of all Jews and the Israeli State- to follow in the first idea what that one named muhamad said, as right. The Ridiculous Annapolis segregated Jews in its hall and most arab \'leaders\' disconnected their phones when Olmert opened his mouth, mocking those they \'say\' they want peace with. peace, but the Kassams have to be \'understood\' as Ok. Islamo Fascists are heinous manipulators. Roger forgets on purpose to supply public with the following information about how Islamic Arabs exterminated Jews in their lands, prior and after the creating of the state of Israel, robbing billions of dollars from Jews. Israel absorbed these Arab Jews as citizens while muslims always left the wound of the fakestinians to use as a bargaining chip to convince the world that palestinians are in disgrace b/c of Israel, when indeed ARAB muslims rejoice in their disgrace and do not give a damn to their own kind. Take a look in what Roger on purpose fails to display. BTW, following his logic, Jews should suicide bomb and throw Kassam rockets upon all Islamic nations following Islamic support to Adolf Hitler, the construction of concentration camps in Nablus to kill Jews on the 2 war and the extermination and expulsion of Jews from arab lands. How inferior \' roger\' abdull. But that just his job to puppeteer you. He aims reach shahadah by being luring your.
