Israel and the U.S foreign PolicySep 22nd, 2007 - 08:48:30

It is Israel and the Rich and powerful Jewish community and lobby groups who decide the U.S foreign policy in the whole of the Mid East.
The dictated policy couldn’t care less about the ordinary American all it cares about is Israel and the continuation of occupation and misery it brings to millions of people living in and around Israel.
How and who do you think started this Iraq Tragedy, You guessed it Israel and its illegal and immoral influence groups in the U.S , the same forces are now trying the same in Iran.

What do we expect to gain from the reported and still unconfirmed report that the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is now planning to meet the families of the 9/11 victims, meet with US war critics and give a speech at the University of Columbia,NY.

At first report he wanted to visit the 9/11 site, until the NYPD said 'NO' So why can't we just say 'No' to these subsequent requests. The answer is that in America the intellect generally rules over brute force. We would hope that there is a way of coming to an understanding between two diametrically opposed societies before we just kick his ass out of the country after his speech at the UN. But that's not going to happen. The American people will have to endure the insult of having this tyrant use the Liberties of Democracy to further his masquaraid of being misunderstood on the world stage. Yet with all that has been said and done by him, including the wantent destruction of Israel and his defiant attitude toward the UN for his action on Nuclear Energy, Columbia University,a place of higher learning will let him continue to lie and give that lie the blessings of an establish institution. For him he speaks the truth, and there lies the reason for the University of Columbia in letting him speak in the first place. Where does the Truth Lie?

It's not the lie that makes it a lie, but the number of people who believe it to be the truth.

Then we have the matter of wanting to meet with the families of the 9/11 victims. All I have to say about that is if they do meet the compassion the American people have for these families will be lost.

As far as the US war critics there isn't much one could say except that if they were to be in Iran they would probably be shot or just disappear, for ever!

When will the world be at Peace with itself, GOD only knows, but WHO's?

Last time I checked, the Ayahtolla pulls the real strings. We're simply providing a stage for his puppet.

Why is everyone so upset he wants to meet with 9/11 victims? After all, the terrorists were predominently SAUDI. Lord knows we need their oil a bit too much to expect any kind of apology from our 'friends' who somehow managed to let these extremists ferment in the seedy bossom of their monarchist state.

- boo to Iran, and boo on us.

Why is it that no one sees the Iran President's visit as a golden
opportunity to turn things in a new direction? Should America throw
stones at this man while he is here? Or, would a visit to the 9/11
site with victim's families be a possible turning point in relations?
Contempt breeds contempt. Dialogue is dialogue. It is not out of
the realm of possibility that some average American could have the
key to helping to bridge the gap between our nations.

There will never be a bridging between our countries until our cultures are similar enough to allow it. Iran is an Islamic state, a fundamentalist one at that. They can never accept our culture because it is contrary to their religious beliefs, and to make matters worse, it has become normal to teach religious intolerance, which to them justifies eradicating all infidels and even other muslims that are not Shia. It is the same backwards thinking Christians did long ago with the Inquisition, but on a much larger scale.

Ahmadinejad is scheduled to address the United Nation. So whats the big deal about speaking at a Columbia? If we are to get so angry over him speaking at columbia;shouldn't we be as angry with him speaking at the United Nations? I always thought debate was a more reasonable approach than war. Will we lose anything if he speaks? I would thing we may gain something(doubtful) but maybe. I think we as people need to fix our government before our governmnet can fix the world. Don't get me wrong it is fixable but no one is ever held accountable, thats the problem.

In this period of hostility between to warring states, one must cease any opportunity to put some water on the fire, which we all know that will spread so quickly with disasterous outcome. What do we gain if Ahmadinejad is barred from speech in the University of Columbia? What if he has some conciliatory words? Is the largest democracy in the world going to buffer him based merely on his stupid remarks? Even an enemy has a chance to present its case before the war begins. I see less arrogance in Ahmadinejad, who tries to reach Americans, than those who try to bycott him.

'Should America throw

Why not, they routinely stone people to death in Iran?

This is the kind of thing this monster presides over:

Ok,, so the guy is a fundamentalist with some less than agreeable ideas. The fact that he is coming here to spew his rhetoric isn't as disturbing as the fact that some American citizens might actually listen and be sympathetic to his ideas. While it is true that the government could have revoked his visa and not let him speak, the fact that they will let him come underscores how great this country actually is. Even though what he will say will probably be anti-West, we have the freedom of expression and freedom of choice. By allowing him to come and speak, the United States rises above and honors that freedom even if Ahmadinejad really is cuckoo for cocoa puffs. Do you really think a U.S. official can go to a Tehran university and speak pubicly about advancing a Western cause? Probably not. As mentioned earlier, there are people who are born and raised here and want to cause others great harm. Those are the people we need to pay attention to and not some goofy hardline president that is losing influence in his own country anyway.

music for truthSep 22nd, 2007 - 19:56:24

I say let him speak!! The Constitution guarantees the right to freedom of speech. More importantly, the speech you disagree with. Also realize that the Iranian President has very little power as it is. Iran is a theocracy.
Censorship is un-American. He can we preach the ideals of freedom, when we don't abide them ourselves?
The comment about Israel was also very true. My heritage is Jewish, but even I can see clearly the threat of Zionism, and its influence in America's politics. After years of exhaustive research, I can honestly say that there is no solid forensic evidence that 'terrorists' actually highjacked airplanes and crashed them into prominent US structures. None. The mainstream media has done a poor job on whistleblowing against the government. It is laughable. The Reichstag Fires have repeated themselves as history often does. Just watch FOX's (Rupert Murdoch's)'fair and balanced' news. It isn't news at all. It is propaganda.
So.. all this hubbub about 'defending' America is actually a distraction from a far more insidious enemy: Our Own Fascist Government. If you want a clearer picture, research who is actually profiting from the war on 'terror'. Research military and financial records of individuals and companies BEFORE Sept. 11.
Let us then ponder these words by some very intelligent people:

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. -Ben Franklin

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism. -Thomas Jefferson

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
-Thomas Jefferson, Letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802)

In response to the ridiculous first comment,
which claimed that America's problems with both Iraq and Iran are caused by the Jewish community, whose sole interest is causing 'misery' in and around Israel:

Israel tries to find peace every day. They are prepared to give up half of their country to the Palestinian arabs who were rejected by every Arab country, just so these same people will stop sending rockets and suicide bombers.
And Israel's only agenda with Iran is that they're hoping not be blown up by an Iranian nuclear missile.
