Does that somehow make it OK? It is a savage crime against humanity to stone a human being to death or to publicly lynch a child (A 16 year old girl who had been raped) for being 'disobedient'. Maybe when oppressive regimes see how we do things and that open debate is good, they'll change their attitudes toward stifling speech. And if they don't, it's not our problem. Their citizens will eventually bring the government back to equilibrium for this is the natural law of the universe, including politics - always striving for equilibrium.
