Iranian judiciary closes down labour news agency

Tehran - The Iranian judiciary on Wednesday closed down the labour news agency ILNA, the Mehr news agency reported. The charges against ILNA were not clarified but there had been several complaints against the labour news agency, Mehr reported. ILNA, which mainly dealt with labour issues, is close to the moderate-reformist coalition and critical of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the government's economic policies. The judiciary had last week also closed down the moderate daily Ham-Mihan due to legal problems related to its chief manager, Gholam-Hossein Karbaschi. The most renowned reformist daily in Iran is the Sharq (East), which was also banned last year but reopened in May. Other reformist dailies are the Etemad Melli (National Trust) and the Kargozaran (People's Servants). Reformist dailies in Iran are usually closed under the pretext of insulting religious and political figures and fomenting public discord. © 2007 dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur

No such thing as Freedom of Speech in iran I guess. I spelled iran with a small i because until you give people their freedom you don't deserve the attention and/or trouble of typing the extra stroke.
