While US policy toward Iraq may have flaws they can pretty much count on being correct if they play the 'opposite' game with whatever Al-Sadr wants. He calls for withdrawal; I say stay. He says he wants to 'cooperate' with Sunnis; I say he wants the US out of the way for a Mahdi/Iraqi police scuffle. I can see the 'cooperation' now.
This guy is the biggest trouble maker Iraq probably has at this point.
He is directed by Iran and is in Iran.-------Never should have been allowed to leave Iraq alive
The big question now is whether or not the Sunnis will be gullible enough to fall into his trap. It seems unlikely that the Kurds will go along with any of it.
Israel is the root of all evils in the world, and these comments are proof of their control over mass media. Shiites and Sunnies weren't killing each other before. Lets bring our boy home and see what happen.

As for the nervosity of Saudi Arabia,if any it should not be a surprise .You would be nervous to if your neughbour's house is on fire,it might spread .
I guess they wouldn't like it if Shiites from Iran and Iraq tie closer bonds .However there is little the Saudis can do about that .THey have no army capable of dealing with it .In any case a more strong Shiite current would not be the worst ,as it is still in my opinion a lesser evil compared to the wahabit version of Islam as practised in Saudi-Arabia .
The spreading of fundamentalist Islam is almost soleley the reasult of Saudi efforts to indoctrinate the moderate islamist .They throw a lot of money at the madrassas and mosks in Europe and the Far East to impose wahabism .
To simplify to the extreme.Wahabism is to Islam what conservative evangelist are for christianity .THey both have too much money,practise proselytism ,aim at the most ignorant fractions of the population,they both have the goal to integrate their relgion into politics ,both trying to influence the political establisment and lawmakers .I could go on about the similarities between fundamentalist evangelists and wahabits but I guess I dont want to write a book about it.Just rember they are both a danger for democracy.

According to the survey, 'only 47 percent of soldiers and 38 percent of Marines agreed that non-combatants should be treated with dignity and respect. More than one-third of all soldiers and Marines reported that torture should be allowed to save the life of a fellow soldier or Marine' or to obtain important information about insurgents. The survey also found that '10 percent of soldiers and Marines reported mistreating noncombatants or damaging property when it was not necessary' and that 'less than half of soldiers or Marines said they would report a team member for unethical behavior.' The people of Iraq, especially the Shias and the Kurds, were horribly mistreated under Saddam Hussein’s brutal dictatorship. Well, you see, the 'fire' is spreading--outside the Levant. The fuel for it is scattered all over Europe, the US, Russia and even parts of China. And the lesser of two evils is still evil.

Hopefully none of you have sons in the U.S. military who are needlessly being injured and or dying in Iraq or daughters in the U.S. military who are being savagely raped by American soldiers in Iraq.
