Car bomb in Iraqi city kills 45

Baghdad - A car bomb blast in the Iraqi city of Kufa, around 170 kilometres south of Baghdad, Tuesday killed 45 and wounded more than 80, police said. EPA/HUSSEIN AL MUSAWEE.The suicide attacker blew up his explosives-laden car in a market district near a school in the predominantly Shiite city. Kufa is home to many loyalists of radical Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr. Meanwhile earlier reports said gunmen shot dead a married Iraqi couple at the elementary school in which they were both teachers in Diyala province. Independent news agency Voices of Iraq citing police sources reported that the pair were tied up and shot dead in front of pupils and colleagues in the Monday morning incident in Khalis, north of Baghdad. The killers made their escape following the attack. Also in Diyala province the Aswat al-Iraq news agency reported that a suicide attack on a police station killed three policemen and wounded 11 people. Elsewhere police in Baghdad discovered some 30 bodies of murder victims within a 24-hour period. Analysts say this and other developments point to a level of violence perpetrated by religious extremists and criminal gangs similar to that which had plagued the city prior to the implementation of a new security plan three months ago. © 2007 dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur

We can not continue to judge the success or failure of the rebuilding of Iraq solely by the presence or lack of car bombs. It is a far too easy thing to do to detonate a car bomb and kill a few dozen people, especially when you care nothing about human life. It is far more difficult to build a hospital than to blow up a datsun in front of one. They should not be equated as the world keeps score. When the insurgents build a hospital, then I will give them points.

You must be living on Mars or Venus. If six people can be apprehended in New Jersy then whay not in Iraq?
BECAUSE THE KILLED THERE ARE SHIITES, BUSH PLAN WORKING SLOWLY BUT SURELY!!
