Severely tortured? Did they show pictures of this guy? He should have healing wounds to display, right?
Yup! they certainly are liars. They should learn from Bush and Blair about being honest. NUKE them.
There have been _confirmed_ reports of US soldiers (claimed to be working alone) abusing and torturing Iraqi/Iranian prisoners. Considering the USA's apparent inability to control their soldiers and to put their actions where their mouth is on the torture issue, I think any claim made against the US in these respects should be taken seriously.
Few Americans, and even fewer so-called journalists these days, are aware of the Islamic mandate to 'lie' to infidels. IntolQ. America's successful democracy is based on the esteem for truth.
iran is the dumbest most poopy pants country in the world

I think when he was arrested, it is impposble to think he was given Oranege juice for the breakfast! and for british sailors, if Iran believes they were in its territory, well, they also shouldnt expect Orange juice! being captive is different from reserving a room in Hilton Hotels
Visaris -- tell the truth if you can. The Persian people are hostage to their own pitiful contempt for truth. And therein lies the reason they are such a backward and deceased society. Any Arab or Persian with a sense of honesty has immigrated to the US just to get away from the filthy decaying culture of lies that shrouds the middle east.
How prejudiced and ignorant are the supporters of these liars!
Does G-Bay exist in US or in Iran? IN US ONLY
Did Iran kidnap a political person of the west? NO
WHY THE MAN HAS TO SHOW HIS WOUNDS? CIA CELLS AROUND THE WORLD, G-BAY ARE EVIDENCE ENOUGH.
The western civilization is subhuman.
All you retards that say US forces didn't torture this guy are really living in an alternate reality. Our 'Attorney General' Gonzalez has APPROVED TORTURE as a way to garner information from our 'enemies'. Nuke them all? Do you have the slightest idea what the consequences of that would be you racist freak? No more oil to fuel your SUVs, or at the very least 8 or 9 dollars a gallon. I know that rednecks like you can't afford that, what with all the beer you have to buy. A World War WOULD ensue, and I bet that you aren't willing to make the kind of sacrifices needed for us to even have a chance to win that. We need to get every single American out of the Middle East, We have no business there, NONE. America has reserves of oil to last far longer than it would take to develop and implement a new, renewable, fuel source. I apologize for using words with more than 3 syllables, READ A BOOK! America WAS the best counrty in the world until we started this war, and started pissing on the Geneva Convention, and the Constitution. It is time for the real Americans to stand up and take this country back from the bible thumping, racist, 'money trumps peace' assholes that are currently in charge.
All muslims are lying little pigs, ship them all out of the civilized western world.
Truth will prevail only when the western civilization ends
Truth? You speak of truth? OK here's a couple of truths:
Iraq had no involvement in the 9/11 attacks TRUE
White people (Aryans) originally come from Persia/Iran TRUE
Iran has not captured or tortured anty US diplomats or consulate officers TRUE
'President' Bush 'shortcircuited' for 7 minutes after he was told of the 9/11 attacks TRUE
Our troops were sent to Iraq without the proper training or equipment, and expected to
Visaris,
'I think any claim made against the US in these respects should be taken seriously'. Yes, we should believe anything we hear without physical evidence. Especially if it comes from the ever-so credible Iranian government. Are you Mike NiFong? Did you work the Duke LaCrosse case?
If you ask me, their 'diplomat' was just taking a page out of the al-Qaeda manual ...to allege abuses regardless of whether any occurred. Makes me wonder if they should have let him go in the first place.
And what you are witnessing is the beginning of the end of that
It would not be surprising if the Iranian diplomat was tortured, but it would be hard to prove without a confession on the part of someone in the CIA or a 'defense contractor' like Blackstone. That's not like to happen for several decades at least, if at all. But it really doesn't matter; ever since the Bush administration endorsed the use of and engaged in the practice of torture, the US surrendered the moral high ground. Anyone held captive by US forces can claim to have been tortured and the claims have the exact same degree of validity as claims that our people were tortured by someone else's forces. Just don't leave any permanent marks. It takes decades to build trust; it sure didn't take long to destroy it. What Nixon did was bad; what Bush did was infinitely worse.
Jick, please be careful, I'm worried that you'll trip over your mullet and knock out your tooth.
Response to 'nottheamericaiknow', I agree with every word you wrote, but must take exception to you asking rednecks to read a book. Puhleeeese!! Don't waste your breath. Those people don't know how to read!! They know only how to 'listen'....to lies, half-truths, and most importantly, 'spin' that comes out of talking heads on Fox News, the White House press secretary, and every other 'Bushie' in this debacle of a 'current administration'!! Oh, and one more thing about your statement that I must also take exception to -- when you use the word 'we' to proclaim who started this war. 'We' as in 'America' didn't start this war!! Bush and his cronies started it, and by lying about the 'evidence', made Congress culpable, as well.
Why is Monsters and critics - Deutsche Presse-Agentur calling this clown a 'diplomat'? There are recognized protocols involved for diplomatic status. This creep was not a diplomat.
