God help Pelosi now,The Israelis aren,t happy with her trip and the fact that she is now getting a chance to hear the other side.
The big Jewish lobby will be after her now(AIPAC and a host of others),how dare she get to know the truth .she might then tell the Amercan people how they are all being used(Officially $6 Billion a year American aid ,thousands of U.S soldiers dead and maimed).
$1200 for every Israeli man/woman/child(In reality a much higher figure)paid by the American tax payer.to support Israel,s illegal occupation of Arab land and killing or imprisonong their citizens.
What shames me is our Prime minister,s blind support for the Americans.
I'm a right winger and have no problem with Pelosi getting an education. Sometimes we have to step backwards so the Dems. can get educated on what they don't know.
I love how all of the right wingers (whose vision of female leadership is wrapped up in an AnnCoulter fantasy btw) forget the fact that this is a BI-partisan delgation headed by a republican!! The 'dems need to get educated?' does anyone actually read or are they just waiting to pounce on Pelosi any chance they get? It is clear that Cheney's foreign policy has completely failed on every possible measure. To see some foreign policy leadership from congress is a breath of fresh air. I don't see James Baker and the 'elders' doing anything but publishing reports. Even George Sr. would have sent a delegation to Damascus by now.
It represents a breath of fresh air to see both sides, strong Republican (Issa) and Democrat (Pelosi), both engage the Syrian issue. Bush, by his own choice, remains out in the cold, fuming. He has shown the weakness and paralyzed condition of his foreign policy.
Only one thing can be said about this trip to Damsacus: 'Bong Hits 4 Jesus!'
Bush and company was angry about the Niger Document being exposed as fake. He was angry about it because he wanted to keep everyone in the dark.
Bush is angry about Pelosi's trip to Syria because she has proved that Bush was the obstacle to constructive dialogue with Syria.
Bush ranks as the worst President in U.S. history in matters of diplomacy. He is too busy greasing the palms of his war profiteer friends.
Pelosi is doing just what she was elected to do. Serve her constituency which is overwhelmingly against Bush policies. This is once again all about Israel isn't it?
How long has BW been alive? It must be over220 years since he can make the absolute, unshakable, positive statement that President Bush is the worst President ever. It is absolutely amazing how many people know so much.. why has he/she not run for office. We need some leaders that have absolutely no questions about anything. that way we can be like Iran, Iraq etc... no wonder our enemies dismiss us as lightweights.
You don't need to have been alive to make that statement about Bush. It's all in the history books. That's where GWB will end up, like the other presidents. Except, he'll be at the bottom of the list.

Anyone who awaits the second coming, armageddon, the 4 horsemen, or any of the other mythological 'end of times' occurrences, is just a much a war monger as Bush himself. Much of the support of the Iraq war comes from the Christians who fear the followers of Muhammad's writ, and who would rather see them wiped out before they supposedly wipe us out. They are those who believe Bush's kindergarten logic when he says the terrorists 'will follow us home'. As if they don't know where America is, or they aren't already here, being taught in Florida schools how to fly planes. Maybe when Christians, Muslims, Jews, et al come to terms with their chosen mythology as being only that - mythology, we can move away from the evils bred by sectarian prejudices, and get on evolving together as humans.

Political rhetoric on both sides over the Issa/Pelosi trip/visit to Syria is an absolute hoot!
The fact of the matter is that both demicans and republocrats have a single agenda ... whatever is good for the empire is justifiable.
Clinton and his member got him into trouble and eventual impeachment because what he lied about was a social behavior. Bush an Co. have lied in order to go to war ... but in both so-called parties, or in the two sides of the single fascist party in US politics, war was viewed as an imperial need and thus there was no outcry against it.
Syria is a means of creating a sense of dialog in the middle east now that Bush and Co. are near the end of the reign. Thus both parties recognize that since we now have a huge presence in Iraq it is time to tone down the rhetoric so we can maintain that presence. Beyond that, it is smoke and mirrors to a population more interested in using food as fuel for their vehicles than in feeding starving people ... or, callously, the needs of the empire trump all else.
