Because it really takes 3 frigin weeks to figure out that 2 IPs are not the same and then figure out how to admit 'Hey we fooked up!'
Sounds like the Indian judicial system uses the same quality control processes so wonderfully exhibited in their code writing shops.
Finding responsabilities in this case is needed regarding future 'mistakes'. For instance, AirTel must identify the source of misleading information regarding IP and his owner are confidential information and not be given without taking a unique proccess of authentication. Not to do so, result in civil responsability to AirTel.
It is all very well to get up in arms over incorrect Ip addresses... however it appears to be forgotten, like always in scenarios like these that the Techy may well given the incorrect IP on purpose... likely as the article depicts, he didnt. Furthermore, had the IPs been correct and the Police had not arrested the Techy, then they would be slated for not taking action at all.
You lot need to wake up and see both sides. There is never one side and never an innocent party. The techy should have checked before issuing the IP in the first place. What if he had ulterior motives? It is not known.
Whether he actually uploaded the images or not, why is it a crime? I thought freedom of speech was enshrined in the Constitution? Why should someone be beaten up by the police for something like this?
What about 70,000 other men who go through this same abuse every year.
Every year 70,000 people (about 70% from IT industry alone) are falsely arrested on false dowry cases (498a). Who should give justice for jailing them and their families.

It is time IT people become hardened. If they remain soft every sundry will keep jailing them at their whims and fancies.

Every year 70,000 men along with his families- a total of about 5 LAKH people are falsely arrested and put in jail on false dowry harassment (Nothing do with dowry) charges.
One one verbal or written complaint of a girl entire family of guy is arrested. Last year alone 350 little children, about 10,000 old people (more than 8o years old) and pregnant woman were put in jail falsely.
More than 80,000 men die every year due to this harassment every year.
Who will help them?
This is a country of scoundrels. In name of women empowerment, men are being murdered and put in jail.
6000 crores (If every woman gets this money that is 12,000 rupees from new born baby to a woman on fire) are being spend for women welfare every year. Who is eating this money?
Congress party is dividing people based on gender now. Hats off to india.

When a woman is molested so much hue and cry is created. In almost 90% of these cases after investigation it is found that the case was false and was hyped up to get sympathy and influence the police and pressurize them.
Why does media not report the final result of these cases.
It is PROVEN IN COURTS that 98% of dowry harassment cases (498a) are false. YES, even National crime bureau of india (NCRB) has reported this abuse. Why is there no action against abusers of law?
Please understand this and help fight this abuse. You will be affected by this one day if you do not help to fight this abuse. Even if you have a relative or friend who is a male some day you will sit in jail for nothing.

The laws in India are gender biased. Many married men in India have to spend time in the jails due to the whims and false allegations of their spouses. Even their parents have to go to jails.
Under the new draconian DV act, the wives demand anything from 50 to 80 lakhs as compensation. This is legal terrorism.
Police, Judges, Laws all collude to make money.

It is painful to read the experience of the IT engineer at the hands of corrupt system in India. This mentality of shoot first and ask questions later is coming in the way of India emerging out of third world status. Equaly outrageous is the treatment metted out to families facing false allegations under the anti dowry act. The situation is so bad that the Supreme Court has labeled the misuse of IPC section 498a as 'legal terrorism'. The legislature (politicians) is reluctant to provide relief due to vote bank politics. This is the only law which states that the accused is guilty until proven innocent.
Well really booohooo, all people do is cry about stuff, wake up and do something about it, all the instruments to do something are provided to you, i was beaten black and blue once when i refused to give money to a cop over a traffic rules violation challan, went to the court, took 4 years, got the chap dismissed.
To this day i wont back up when i am right, come heaven or hell. While pathetic people keep on behaving like sheep's.
Democracy is for the brave, not some sheep's waiting to be cut open and eaten up.
If this chap rises up, i will join him to whatever end.
