another way to keep the addict population stable and on the rise,so that all that afghan heroin will always have a market,smart move$$$$

Finally, Germany has overcome the prohibitionist scheme - that is, pushing sick people into illegality and then taking the appalling consequences as evidence that it was a smart move. It is a sad thing that it took us almost 100 years to find out that a stable supply of pure pharmaceutical heroin cures almost all the problems associated with the use of blackmarket heroin.

Before it was outlawed, no addict used anything but pure pharmaceutical heroin and the average addict was a bored middleclass housewife. It was only after prohibition was introduced that the real drug problem developed.
