Two pre-adolescent boys charged with raping 10-year-old girl

Paris - A court in Versailles, near Paris, has charged an 11-year-old boy and his 12-year-old friend with raping the older boy's 10-year-old sister, filming the scene on a cell phone and showing it to friends, the website of the weekly Le Point reported on Friday.

According to a judicial source cited in the report, on May 9 the 11-year-old invited his friend and his sister to his home where they watched a pornographic film and then decided to re-enact the movie's scenes with the girl.

The boys filmed their sexual activities and then replayed the scenes for a week to about 100 students at their school via their cell phone. The filmed scenes were discovered by police officers who were on a pedagogic visit to the boys' school.

'It is clear that we are not dealing with perverts,' the judicial source told Le Point. 'It is more a case of ... a lack of education in a more or less well-to-do environment.'

Because the boys are under 13 years of age, they can not be sentenced like adults, but can at most be given educational sanctions.
