Athens - Unknown assailants threw petrol bombs at the entrance of a hotel in the Greek capital Athens where some 15 right- wing extremists from Germany and other Central European countries were staying, witnesses reported.

Police said that no-one was hurt in the attack and the hotel entrance sustained only minor damage.

Witnesses said that the extremists had hung flags with neo-Nazi emblems and symbols out of the windows of the low-cost hotel on Solomou Street in the centre of Athens.

The neo-Nazis had been invited by Greek sympathizers to attend a meeting in Athens Saturday evening, Greek radio reported.
