Pure and simple, global warming is junk science and fad science in its most egregious form.

Yes, there has been some warming in the past 50 years. But, said warming is now being replaced by cooling. Moreover, said warming coincided with significantly heightened sunspot cycles (which is the same thing that happened during previous warming periods in prior centuries).

Sunspot activity is virtually nil at present. And, surprise surprise, we're cooling off.

But hey, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (and all their like-minded proponets of big government) love the global-warming scam because it may give them a means to tax carbon emissions. They want to double your utility bills so your utility company can send more of your money to Washington to pay for their crazy spending.

Sidebar: when people, and other animals, exhale, they are producing carbon emissions. It's true, Muffy; by the very act of breathing, you, according to the warming fictionalists, are making the weather hotter and melting the glaciers.
