Thank you Portugal for supporting a country who suffered very much in the past.
How can recognition of Kosovo be right if the US and its vassals have to go around clubbing everyone over the head to get them to recognize Kosovo? I'm sorry to see Portugal cave in under the pressure just like most of the EU.

I'm part of 'this people' and while your ending was perhaps a bit dramatic (or maybe not, given adequate time) I must say that I'm embarrassed by this decision. What 'we' did - between quotes because I'm a bit ashamed by it - was just another 'Yes Ma'am!' after Condoleeza Rice visit that said 'Recognise it now because we want you to'. And we, no surprise, followed the order.
I would like to personally apologise to Serbians for my part in this (since the decision was made in the name of Portugal) and it is utterly humiliating to be a part of this vile process. Not that I would expect it to be otherwise, I have long known that we don't really have a say on this subjects. Europe will pay dearly by this treacherous act of selling out Serbia. Today Kosovo, tomorrow a town near you, Europe is taking every step towards a bitter end.
I'm italian , so Kosovo isn't my country , but the truth is that the serbians killed a lot of people ( including women and children).
So , these criminals can't hide all these terrible actions.
Bravo.. Bravo.. Bravo.. PORTUGAL
The SPAIN has to do the same thing.
We are human beings and we live only one life.

A small clarification. Czech Republic has already recognised Kosovo.
It is Slovakia that didn't.

I guess your nationality is Serbian (or pro-Serbian). Listen to the words the Italian guy (Antonio) wrote earlier. He can clear the way for you to understand who are the scumbags, gangsters, kidnappers, pimps and poisoners. Don't make me provide you with the links of the massacres and the most horrible actions Serbians took against Albanians in Kosova, because it is a well known fact for everyone.
So, before posting you crappy comment, think twice!

Recognizing kosovO, and historically serbia province, as an independent state, is recognizing a de facto demographic annexion of another people's territory, the ethnic cleansing of serbs and, teherefore, an invitation for future preemptive ethnic cleansings in order to prevent such annexions.
It was a favour done to US interests, in order to keep a 'useful' mafia driven rogue state, and by the way, a possible islamic republic along with camp bondsteel, in europe's southern flank, thus balkanizing even more that region for its interest.
It is time that civilized europe (expelling all the damn mullahs, or cães sarracenos, as we call them in portugal) reassembles, from the atlantic to the urals (excluding, of course, the big windsor cow), in its cultural unity, and fuck the real enemies, of wich the albanians are part.

Serbia has had Kosovo for almost a century. The way they treated this territory that they claim to be their 'holy land' (what a joke) leaves them no right to complain about the secession.
Instead of trying to prevent the new nation from taking its rightful place in the world, they should ask for forgiveness for the children killed, the women raped, the houses, churches and mosques burned and for trying to expel the entire non-Serb population out of Kosovo.

Albanians have fucked throughout the history Portuguese women. Not that they were our enemies, but they were and still are very hot. This gives us another chance to come and fuck them again haha by granting us visas by your beloved government to come and make your race even beautiful :) (just kidding, cz when fucking prostitutes, I usually wear protection).

The only time I remember albanians having something to do with the portuguese was in lepanto battle, when you (incorporated in your masters -turkey- army), got the beat of your lifes....
By the way... I went to youguslavia in Enver Hosxa times, and I saw some albanians..... ^ That says it ALL. Portugal doesn't give a penny about albanians, nor does any other country that recognized Kosovo really. Its all about their own personal gains and when I say 'their' I mean Germany mainly and the United States they rest as we see Portugal today succumbing to pressure.
To the albanian posters here don't give us your BS 'Ohhh the Serbs killed millions of us waa waa waa!!' There are more albanians in Kosovo now then ever before. You can find official reports all over the internet that indicate only 8000 people (of which 3000 are Serbs) And some food for thought some 2000 Serb civilians were killed by NATO 'humanitarian bombing' the only real albanian victims were the pathetic KLA albanian terrorist organization that got its can kicked by Serb security forces.
You should realize not everyone buy your fairytale story, plenty of Europeans really know what albanians are like and how much they have damaged their societies with whatever they brought with them I speak of course of drugs and sex slavery.
i'm glad to see another nation from the european union officially tip it's hat in favor of kosove. yes, i am albanian and glad to finally see some form of justice for the albanian people. some of you ask surprised at the fact that politics plays a role in the geography of the balkans. if we open up a history book that isn't from belgrade, athens or istanbul, we can all clearly see that the albanian people have suffered and continue to suffer from their neighbors. if, as some of you claim, the US and her allies are pressuring EU nations to recognize 'kosovo' then how is that any different from serbia, greece, montenegro & macedonia all pressuring the then 'league of nations' early in the 20th century for portions of albanian lands? keep in mind that they had big, bad russia doing then what some of you claim the US is doing today.
albanians have some really nice neighbors (sarcasm). once they finally throw out the rotten, dirty turks from 500 years of occupation and they are vulnerable...look who comes in to snatch up her precious land. that's right! serbia, greece, montenegro & macedonia!
it's fine and dandy if you elect not to agree but you cannot deny the truth when it's staring you in the face. historically, the albanians are native to the balkans and the serbs simply are not and the fact that the russians are always backing their silly claims should be enough evidence enough as to the origins of serbian people. for that matter...all of the slavic people of the balkans. now i have no problem today in the 21st century living in relative peace & harmony w/our 'neighbors' after the injustices of the past are corrected. i'm not for killing or ethnic cleansing of any people but i will not idlely stand by either and allow the treachery to continue.
on a lighter note...i hope to see a fun and exciting match next week when the national team of albania visits braga. best of luck to both teams and nations. :)
