Once again, news people fail to transmit ALL of the facts. Phosgene is used as a feedstock to produce a number of plastics and paint products. This article makes it sound as the 'EVIL GERMAN STUDENTS' were up to no good in the school lab. They may or may not have been. Such an experiment could be perfectly legitimate for an advanced chemistry class or even in a petroleum engineering class.

So, if you are going to impugn, M&C, you need to tell the entire story.
