Montage of Putin in SS uniform condemned by Russian political party

Moscow - A photomontage of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the uniform of a Nazi SS officer has caused upset in Russian political circles, reports said Tuesday. United Russia, a party close to the Kremlin, has called for legal proceedings against the local newspaper in the Volga region that ran the montage. The picture played on a famous Soviet war film in which a KGB spy infiltrates Nazi Germany's SS force and it accompanied an article discussing whether Putin could stay in office beyond the two terms allowed by the constitution.
