Good grief, the Kaczynski bros are morons.Mar 5th, 2007 - 18:34:31

The issue has long been settled by the German government and compensation has been paid irreversibly to the refugees through the German government by a scheme, that canvassed all refugees. Germany had paid also to the allies ... and to tiny Israel, i.e. my post-war generation's sweat went into compensating for the sins of our fathers.

The move of Poland proper to the west, i.e. the advancement of the then USSR into Poland (into originally Russian territory, grabbed by Poland hundreds of years ago, as Poland was never an 'angel-nation' either) was compensated to Poland by having her borders moved west to the Oder-Neisse river border. Because Germany had started the war ... and lost ... this settlement was deemed just and was never objected to by Germany.

The Kaczynski brothers are mad to raise the issue. This is designed for a native audience, but Poles are not that daft to fall for it, as it is trying to cheaply score on a non-issue.

One wonders if Poland hadn't been allowed to the EU 20 years too early -- clearly the Kaczynskis don't understand what the EU is all about. We Germans show films to our audiences we want to, and if the Kaczynskis don't like it, let them not like it; it's none of their damn business -- sorry fat-bellied troublemakers!

How come that Poles vote for such idiots, even TWO idiot twins? Is this a new Polish joke?

The Poles should feel extremely uncomfortable.

WW2 began over Danzig because the overwhelming majority of its people wanted to be part of Germany--and not Poland. Although Danzig had been designated a Free City under the Versailles Treaty, it was in fact not free to do what it wanted most of all--to rejoin Germany.

In 1939 Polish expansionist ambitions and terror created a situation that Hitler and Germany could not merely observe idly from the distance. German peace proposals were totally rejected by the Poles who felt that with a British guarantee and their own delusions of military prowess, they had nothing to fear. A crisis emerged and the war against Poland was the result. That small war which Germany won in weeks became a world war when the British and French declared war against Germany.

The territories that Poland acquired since the end of WW2 are ancient lands whose populations were overwhelmingly German for many centuries--and those lands will be German again someday. Fools who think otherwise should look at the Mideast where Jews have reacquired lands they did not possess for nearly two millenia.

Polish claims to East Prussia, Silesia, Danzig and more--all rest heavily on the anti-German, atrocity propaganda that is still in vogue. But that propaganda is false propaganda and it is being exposed for what it truly is.

How about if you dont get upset at Germany trying to take back territory it owned for many centuries???
What would the US do if some foreign powers took away the entire New England regions from us...and those areas were just part of the USA since the 1770's.
Germany OWNED those lands since the 1400's.
If it wasnt for morons with mentality like yours Hitler would had never come to power seeking revenge for Versailles that raped Germany of its colonies, territory, economy, and its military capabilities.
Do you know why WW 1 even happened?
No, you dont....your a fool who hates Germans.
Do you know what the Germans did before being dragged into war in 1914?
Germany waited for 3 crucial days while the Russian Empire mobilized its troops for war and many historians agree that this 3 day wait was the crucial reason why Germany lost WW 1.
They did this in a vain effort to keep Russia from having an excuse for entering the war and that was a failed hope. Russia was determined to wage war.
Did you know that illiterate Belezebub?
Germany got into the war because of treaty obligations to Austria after people like YOU murdered the Archduke AND his wife.....why did they to kill the wife??
You know nothing of history, legal treaties, global politics, or anything.
You only live to hate....that is why you are Beelzebub.
You are the same filth as muslims.

Hello, revisionists, wake up:Mar 5th, 2007 - 23:17:19

Both Poland and Germany are part of the European Union.

If the Poles will learn to think 'Europe', it won't matter anymore. The better economies shall dominate, but the less efficient will not suffer, but eventually will be dragged, kicking and screaming, to be up to par -- which, incidentally, will be the end of Polish jokes in the US.

What the two loonies in the Polish leadership jabber about is mystery to me. They must talk to some insecure Poles for vote-grabbing purposes.

As far as Germany is concerned, this issue is dead, officially, and the creepy Nazi on this board, who tried to sound important, is just that -- a creepy Nazi, who doesn't have any power to do anything about this situation that was settled a long time ago.

'Kaczynski also criticised calls by a group in Germany demanding compensation for the families of ethnic Germans who fled Prussia...'

I agree with Kaczynski. As a descendent of the Prussians who are ethnic Balts, I'd rather let the Poles and Russians live in the homeland of my ancestors than to allow a single ethnic German swine to live there.

The southern part of what used to be called 'East Prussia' and is now occupied by Poland was never legal German territory to begin with. Hence it's nonsense when Germans seek any compensation from the Polish state due to alleged loss of property.
The only and true owners of 'East Prussia' are the descendents of the indigenous population of the land (Old Prussians, Prusai) who lived there for over four thousand years before being expelled by the Soviets and Poles at the end of WW II.
The period of German occupation spans from the German Order's invasion in 1226 to the end of Nazi-Germany in 1945.

The wealth of the Prussians was well known by their neighbors and beginning in the 9 th century, invasions occurred frequently by Northern people, continuing one century later by aggressions from the southern Slavs, the Poles. During the mass migrations from the 5 th to 7th century throughout Europe, the Prussians remained as one of the few people in their homeland.

During the 11 th and 12 th centuries, the Prussian tribes united and organized counter attacks against the Polish aggressors who were unable to fight the Prussians and officially called the German Order for help.

Equipped with modern war tools and tactics, gained by experience from their crusading past, the war machine of the German Order began invading Prussia in 1231, mass-murdering, maiming, subjugating and oppressing the Prussians. In spite of being outnumbered, the Prussians heroically resisted and fought ferociously for their freedom for 53 years against an enemy supported by European allies. When they finally surrendered they had to forego without legal rights for centuries, with prohibition of their Baltic language and religion, expropriation of land and goods or expulsion from their homeland.

Only the descendents of this indigenous population are entitled to ownership of the land with its borders similar to those of former 'East Prussia'.

Oh my, 'True Prussian' is yet another ...Mar 6th, 2007 - 00:30:07

... revisionist.

Prussia was always centered around what is now Berlin and the German state of Brandenburg.

The issue is a non-starter, Germany lost the territory, it's fixed and accepted, there are treaties to back it up, it's done.

The 'true Prussian' just didn't wish to miss an opportunity to refer to 'German ethnic swine' -- so he did -- and on the ground, nothing changes.

EU membership is a great thing for all parties.

It would be good to see the film in the Polish TV. It allows better understanding German point of view concerning episods of WW II.
Something about PiS government in Poland. It is clerical-nationalistic government with strong anti-left and anti-liberal attitude. In the same time this govermnet is strongly anti-German and anti-Russian. Also hidden anti-semitism exists. Hidden because PiS government is very afraid of influential Jewish wealthy persons and politicians in the USA.
Many Polish people hope that this stupid PiS government will be only short episod in Polish history.

I may be a moron, but I'm no racist - getting called a racist by germans is pretty funny, considering.
Dude, you can have New England for all I care. And, if America lost the territory in an honest war (I know how fierce the Canadians are), I'd have no choice but to deal with it. As have you.
Morons with mentality like mine? Dude, I hate nazis. Yeah, I don't trust germany after all that. Only a fool would, and I'm real glad that the US still has bases over there for the next world war deutchland starts. Considering the wound your country left on the planet, I'm actually quite well versed on history, politics, economics, rhetoric and such. It must be real tough to admit that germany was responsible for World War II, but it was. People like me were responsible for WW I? Lol, sorry, but I'm not an anarchist.
Now, comparing me to a muslim? For that, I'm gonna slap your mom and poop in your mouth, medium style. How come there's a resurgence in neonazism these days all over gemany, austria, and other germanic countries? I figure that those psychos who worship death and advocate wiping Israel off the map are a lot more akin to wahabees that people who love their freedom and life, like me. I'm sorry for your thin skin. Don't talk to me like you know me. Sucka.

Wow, my last post got deleted? I must have said something that really ruffled your feathers! Woo-Woo!

Why are Canadians fierce you freak?
More fierce than Germans......you are highy EDUMACTED I can see.

Those Canadians are so fierce they sent 4 mounties on horses and 3 canoes to Iraq to help America fight the war. I think millions of real Americans as myself would have an issue with you being cool with the idea of losing New England to a foreign nation.

You really need to find a new name here.

There are billions available and you go for the prince of darkness??
