US President Barack Obama on 03 April called for a stronger Europe and praised French President Nicolas Sarkozy for his leadership in the conflict in Afghanistan. "We want strong allies. We would like to see Europe have more robust defence capabilities," Obama said after talks with Sarkozy in the French city of Strasbourg.
