I think police should raid all houses that have basements. Who knows what other craps people hide from public or visitors' eyes. Anyway, this SOB guy will be rich. Some Holywood movie producer may pay him lots of money to buy his story.
Finding it very hard to put into words quite how I feel about this. Always seems to be that just when you thought you had witnessed, either first hand or via the media, the worst atrocities that could ever be inflicted by so called enlightened & civilised beings upon their own kind, new and improved versions which push the envelope of horror to a brand new level emerge. I’m a 47 year old male who is not accustomed to showing emotion but since hearing the news today, I have broken down several times crying like a child because I find this just too tragic and can’t stop thinking about it.
I’ve been trying to imagine what it would be like having my freedom taken away just at the point in my life when I should have been about to make the most of my freedom. Never having the opportunity to have friends, relationships (failed or otherwise), being constantly abused by someone that should have loved me and I should have been able to trust, no sense of self worth, never being able to take my children to the park, watch them in a school play or being able watch them enjoy life and grow as children should knowing all the time that there is a world outside that they might never see. I’ve tried to imagine but the pain that this poor woman has suffered is beyond imagination.
I’m normally quite level headed and might find myself going along with the politically correct crowd who would most likely say “well, if he did this thing, he mist have been mentally ill and he should receive treatment not punishment” or some such phrase.
On this occasion however, and I make no apologies for it, I’m going with those who believe that there just HAS to be a way of prolonging this guys life whilst inflicting great tortures upon him for a long as can be managed. This was not a crime against one individual in a moment of madness. This was a prolonged, calculated torture upon a young girl and her subsequent children lasting decades.
This was a crime against the humanity that we consider sets us apart from the animals.
If there was ever a crime that demanded that our global villagers take up burning torches with intent to destroy the evil among us….. this is it my friends.

I felt so sad for the daughter and children. I am also angery about the ignorance of the local police and other organisations who are supposed to investigate the missing of the daughter. I am still asking myself why nieghbors and his wife could not suspect of his activities.

being a person with abuse in my childhood, it is the worst thing that have happened to me, yet i have no chance of imagining the pain and survival task the imprisoning must have been.
it makes me feel so sad that people like him actually exists. he's been punished in prison before, i cannot believe they let him out. usually im against all kinds of torture punishment but these guys should really have their dick cut off.
I couldn't say it any better than Alex said it! I agree 100% - he should be tied up as his daughter was and let the entire town he lived in do whatever they want to him. There is nothing quite so disgusting and unforgiveable as the abuse like this upon your own child!! My father used to say that humans are WORSE than animals....they only kill for one reason, to eat. I've never heard of an animal raping and holding captive their own children! It disgusts me to my very soul. I just want to hug my children and never let them go. May the bastard rot in hell!!
Rapists are always rapists. The man was found guilty of rape and arson in the 70's and 80's. The Austrian gov't should have put this insidious creature behind bars for the rest of his life. Yet, they allowed him to adopt children? In my view, the Austrian gov't should be held responsible and blamed for allowing a rapist and arsonist to be free for these horrific crimes against humanity.
Quite right Alex Sinclair, I can't stop thinking about what that poor woman has been through aswell. I can't quite fathom how a parent can do this to their child. He should be hung up by his testicles, although I doubt any punishment would even half make up for what he has done.

Okay, this seriously makes me want to cry. How could you do this to your own child!? I feel really sorry for her and the kids. I agree with everything Alex said but that he should get mental help and not punishment. He needs punishment, he is an evil, evil person for what he did.

I am so shocked and I am trying to imagine the horror that this woman and the poor little children had to go through and still have to go through....This bastard destroyed so many lives!!! There is nothing that can undo all this!!! Even though all of them are out of the captivity now, their lives are destroyed and they will have to cope with their past for the rest of their lives....I am so sad about all this!!! My prayers are with all of those poor victims...I was crying while I was writing this and while I was reading all the news about this horrible crime. I just hope that I am attentive enough to discover a crime like this, if it should ever happen in my neighborhood. I sure hope that this will never happen to anybody ever again!!!

My heart goes out to Elizabeth and her children for the ordeal they had to live through forcibly, through no fault of theirs. JESUS is the only one that can heal their wounds both physically, mentally and emotionally. I pray that Christian counsellors/pastors will be able to minister to them at a time like this, so that they can find hope, love and a reason to live. I also pray that Elizabeth will be able to forgive her father for what he has done to her, which is important for her healing process and that she knows that God will surely punish him for what he did. The battle belongs to the Lord. My thoughts and prayers are for Elizabeth and the kids that they see everyday as a new beginning to their lives.

I would like to see him in the middle of the town, a rope around his neck standing on a stool. The towns women stoning him every day, for twenty four, days, or months till he hangs himself, because he couldn't take the pain any more. The worlds cameras should be on him. I was so stressed out after hearing this sad event, I had to have days of work and can't stop crying, If I was the Mother I would have gone down to the basement, and see what he was hiding. When he went on his trips to Thailand..
