From Monsters and Critics.com Asia-Pacific News Hong Kong - Hong Kong's new Disneyland theme park is expected to fall 500,000 visitors short of its 5.6 million visitor target for its first year. Just over 5 million of the 5.6 million visitors predicted for the first year of operations are expected by the anniversary of the 3.5 billion US dollar park in September, the South China Morning Post reported. The park has seen an average daily turnout of around 18,000, only half the theme park's capacity, the newspaper said, quoting company insiders. The theme park has fallen short of expectations so far and has been criticized for not having enough attractions and for charging relatively high ticket prices. Disney managers have so far refused to divulge attendance figures, saying the information is commercially sensitive. © 2006 dpa - Deutsche Presse-Agentur© Copyright 2007 by monstersandcritics.com.
