Confused Taiwanese man molests wrong gender

Taipei - A Taiwanese man was stunned to find that a long-haired, skirt-wearing victim he groped in a packed train was not a woman, cable news network TVBS reported Monday. The 51-year-old man first touched the victim's waist and then caressed the behind of the 20-year-old for more than 10 minutes, TVBS quoted police as saying. The victim finally shouted for help when the older man gave his hip a big clinch, TVBS said. At the police station, officers offered the victim to give the report of alleged sexual harassment to a policewoman to avoid embarrassment, only to learn that 'she' was a 'he.' The equally surprised suspect begged for pardon from police, saying he should not be charged with sexual harassment since the victim was a man. But the police said it was harassment all the same, and charged him.
