Instead of make platitudes to people who might question the U.N. and it's stagnant rhetoric over Burma, I suggest collecting and collating every bit of
information on the U.N and the Secretary-General's efforts (or lack thereof) in providing aid. The U.N. must also be held accountable for it's lack of
willingness to help the people of Burma, to suggest that 12 superstitious generals and a handful of sycophants are more important than 2.5 million
Burmese people suffering after the cyclone is simply ridiculous.
The generals must be indicted on charges of crimes against their own people, the U.N. for allowing those crimes through inaction. Satellite technology
showed the world the extend of the damage to the delta region after the cyclone struck, yet the U.N. stood by mumbling about 'sovereign nations'. If I saw
people trapped in a building fire or drowning would I need permission to save those people? of course not! if as a human being you have the capacity to
save another you do so without question.
To those ships on the coast with waiting aid I say, act like responsible human beings, save the people!
