The Burmese generals should be executed and the military castrated.
...never mind the thousands who can, or could still be, saved. No one is asking for anyone to give up something here, this is just plain Stalinism.
Nations all over the world accept aid for far worse reasons. It's simple, you invite them in, let them work and send them home when it's done.
I am just at a loss at where the liberal intelliguista is on all of this. Where is the Bush-Enraged Libnazis that went bugsh-t in New Orleans? Where are the Sean Penn's and the rest of the boneheads?
I guess it's who you know. My people will call your people...eh?
Surprise ... I've never believed in a welfare state, be it put on by republicans or democrats, christians or muslims. If you live on a flood zone then you need to take your lickings. If the people there don't like their government then they need to have an insurrection or shut up. These bleeding heart republican types are a new breed. They take it one step further than bleeding heart liberals: Instead of doling out loads of cash and charity they actually force people to take the payoff. This new type of 'bleeding heart republican' is even worse than a 'bleeding heart liberal'.
I guees I missed the part where someone is being forced to accept this aid. Now, they may be persuaded to but certainly no one is being forced to do so.
Still, the question needs to be asked: If you are purposely denying aid to stricken people, isn't that a crime against humanity?
Lance, go get you head examined.

You will take our charity even if we have to shove it down your throat. You can have no pride because we tell you when to accept our aid. You can not be self made people because we have more food, planes, fuel than you do and there is no way you will be able to resist our economic force. You will do it our way or be invaded. If you do not take our products then you are terrorists. We WILL have an embassy in your country no matter what you want. On and on and on.
Yeah, yeah. Been there. Done that.
