Mongolia was a part of the Chinese empire until Russia got involved, wrestled a part away and got the UN to recognize it as an independent country. That is why there is a Mongolia today.

4tibet is another uneducated fool out there. Your comment below also show that you really have no clue about history in China. I realized that there are a lot of morons out there that got brainwashed by CNN and etc.... and FYI, i am not born or raise in China.

'China is claiming Tibet as part of China because both China and Tibet were once occupied by Mongols and Manchus. If that is the case then China should be part of Mongolia.'

Jennifer just owned you :)

I see no point in demanding a country to do something further and above what has already been put into place. The people that live in China and the province of Tibet are working their diffrences out. We do not demand that Hawaii be it's own country due to the lack of support during natural distaters, nor do we demand equal freedoms for florida when hurricans hit and the goverment of the USA does next to nothing close to it's power.

We as a people of earth might need to back up a bit and realize that NO ONE can tell another how to live, and put that to the goverment scale. the USA should not be trying to spread its influance to China. it does not pain me to say it, but the USA will lose by spreading itself thin.
