The provocative statementsApr 13th, 2008 - 23:50:47

When someone says that, do not assume it is just communist sympathizers.
The provocative statements should trigger you to think.
If violence continues, there would be where it would go.
It will play into the CCP hands.
That does not satisfy your cause. It would be truely a suicide as Dalai Lama said.
For the benefits of Tibetans, think more before you act.

RE: Let's not go back too far in the past when Indians were the true owners of America.

Let us stay in the present where all nationalities 'own' America. A much better way for all to contribute to the country. And Americans do make mistakes, watch its people correct them!

Freedom of religion isn't an advertisement, it is a reality. For some who insist on being ignorant, read our Constitution and our Bill of Rights.

Let us hope for better relations for all...

These are eye opening !!! These Tibetans and DL act just like terrorists doing everything they say The chinese shouldn't do to the Tibetan people. What hyprocrisy?!

I notice another pattern here, it is that whenever evidences are provided that the Tibetan huggers can not denied. The very next post will be the name callings and slogans.

How sad.

Still better than Youtube commentsApr 14th, 2008 - 17:10:04

OVer there the f t people have resort to racial slurs. how pathetic that they could not have evidence based arguement. slogans and made up numbers are their only tactic. They also never write anything new. Just keep copying and pasting and repeating the same old story. Now whenever i read the tibet story, i would simply skip the tibet history and condition part, bc they are always the same, and they don't cite where they got their info from.

Spritual or Material????Apr 15th, 2008 - 10:01:55

I suggest Dalai Lama to wear western suite instead of his buddhist robe, which he is not merited at all. Because he is confused regarding his own identity. He just can't meditate anymore. His 'Buddhist Light' is completely wipe out.

'The Norwegian government and other governments have to support them in their fight,' Solheim said. 'Even if it means that they risk losing business deals or their relationship with China. Who wants to be friends with or do business with a brutal tyranny anyway?'

To Tenzin GaytsoApr 15th, 2008 - 20:37:37

Tenzin Gaytso should be forbidden to wear buddaist robe because he is not qualified to be a monk since long time ago. He is just pretend to be a humble monk and used buddaism to cheat people. Don't be fooled by his appearance and nobody knows what he's thinking in his mind. He is a dirty politician. Allow him to continue to wear buddaist robe is the greatest insult to buddaism.

Can we just step back from this sovereignty issue over tibet for a second.

I go to a western international school in Australia. We have plenty of Chinese students. I'm well read, but it is still incredible to hear a Chinese student say: 'I hate the Dalai Lama and Tibetans'. It's unbelievable for me, even though out of the white kids, I know the Chinese students the best because I go out of my way to make them feel welcome. Thus I really identify with Caiyia's posting before.

But can we just all understand some things. There are protests planned for the Olympic torch relay in our capital, by 1,000 Chinese students. This is because the Chinese have stated they detest the 'lack of true media' in the west, and the 'corrupt news network' that is 'CNN'.

Can we just see we all want the same thing? True and fair media?

Then there's the idea the west is scared by the Chinese economy. Hell No! It is keeping the world out of a recession with the economic decline of the US. Makes australia rich off resources too.

Thus, we all want development.

If you want a debate over Tibet... Fine. Look at statistics, history, quotes by the Dalai lama, (for example whether he has actually stated he opposes the development of china). But the emotive: 'I hate so and so' does nothing. In our school, there needs to be understanding for the place to work. Just like the world.
