well you cant combat hunger when some hunger spots are in control of rogue regimes that are destroying locale productions of food...leading to higher food prices. So start get your act together and start targeting the cause and effect of hunger. Short term thinking of some countries keep propping up these regimes thus ripple effecting the costs of goods to all the surrounding and world supplies. Start targeting regimes that contribute nothing to the world economy.

...we forgave 50 billion in debt to one of these nations, that is the same as GIVING them 50 billion more.

Go tell them that and then get back to us. Heck, after all, we're here to help!

Mr. Geldof, go take care of you drug addicted child before she dies.

I do notice that the vast majority of countries that are having problems with poverty and food supplies are also the same countries that have a rapidly expanding population. If we feed their children today{if we can] who will feed their childrens children in a World where food production has stagnated and may soon begin to decline despite the best efforts from the Worlds farmers?
