Juha, your name suits you like a glove.Probably the information you give is based only on your own preconceived bias.As it happens Chavez has distributed unused lands to poor farmers, with the marked intention of scaling up the current production of food .Read my lips :unused lands',.Untill now the bulk of agriculture in Venezuela was destined for cattle production,.not very efficient I'd say but then of course that was not a government's choice but one made by latifundistas concerned only with making maximum profit exporting meat to the USA,not feeding the local population.Things now are changing, nothing wrong with that .Why make such a fool of yourself ( as stated, your name fits you well) by posting your ignorance of basic facts.Alittle stroll on the internet could have prevented that.I agree Chavez is not very diplomatical or wise in most of his public statements, his policy however isa different thing .As you yourself declared hissupportersare the poorest partsof population, roughly 70 percent .You seem to have a problem with efforts to improve on their living standards,it needed to be noticed.
you dont help the poor by chasing out the independent wealth of the country. all you have left is the goverment money, and that involves you going to the goverment and kissing their rump for a small slice of the pie. I dont deny there were inequalities in the system, that has more to do with coruption and laws weak in protecting of individual rights.

whats the matter Hugo....are the goverment farms producing ziltch...your only crutch is oil, if an alternative is found...your revolution will be dead in the water. Your dependence on oil for money to keep your revolution alive is the only thing keeping you in power. The poor and ignorant that support you can only see the short term and not the long term.
