As a mexican that has lived most of his life in Mexico, I can add that this situation has no excuse and indeed as Paul explained, there are many negative issues such as corruption that it has been very hard, almost impossible to get rid of.
Nevertheless, I do not agree in the generalized description made by Paul in regards of the people of Mexico.

Paul, are you and english man?
If you travel a bit more, you will realized that laziness, is not exclusively of mexicans or latinamericans...and that USA is not the only first world 'rotten' country on the world.

Best regards

In reply to some of the comments to my remarks, I fully agree that one should not generalize.

And I am not an English man.

I have lived on five continents, have travelled around the world for the last 40 years and can tell you in no uncertain terms that Mexico is indeed, with Nigeria and Indonesia for instance, one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Furthermore, the government has just 'discovered' that most people working for the Ministry of Justice cannot read and write properly, that the postal services are incompetent, etc. just adding to a very grim picture.

Of course, there are some (very) good Mexicans but most leave the country. Why?

When in other countries, I also tell the truth, including my own country.
And one of the truths is that world's leaders are a DISASTER wherever you fgo. I should know, I sometimes work with them!!!

Do not ever forget that 'stupidity is the most underrated virtue of all human beings'....

Finally, I appreciate the comments made by others.
