Christmas time is here and it wouldn’t be complete without the sounds of the season! New albums released that might be of some consideration to help you with that holiday cheer and spirit are Amy Grant: The Christmas Collection, George Strait: Classic Christmas and Julianne Hough: Holiday Collection.
Amy Grant has the most to offer with her album, as there are 18 tracks with contemporary and classic tunes. Some of the classic tunes, such as Jingle Bells, are remixed with new arrangements (you almost feel as if you are being pulled along for the sleigh ride, it’s so fast and furious).
Two contemporary tracks that are unique are Baby, It’s Christmas and I Need a Silent Night, both co-written by Amy Grant.
George Strait’s album offers the Christmas classics done with a country twang. The ten tracks on this album will all be familiar favorites.
Beginning with Joy to the World, and ending with Deck the Halls, this is a great album for any country fan, especially George Strait fans.
Julianne Hough gives us classic songs, instrumental, and nostalgia with her album. The first track is an instrumental rendition called Sound of Christmas. She gets into the spirit with Jingle Bell Rock, Feliz Navadid, and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.
She also has a track entitled Christmas Memories where she shares her memories of Christmas. She wraps up the eight track album with Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
These are all great albums and are sure to get you in the mood to wrap presents, hang lights, or bake cookies. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the music, and these three albums offer a nice variety of styles and talent.
