Some more rumniations on Porter, et al.What I like about Wagoner, Cash, and the like is that they're real. What I mean by that is give them a guitar, a mic, or just even a street corner and they can entertain a crowd. With the current crop of Britneys, etc. you'll get lipsynched electronically 'sweetened' candy corn if they even attempt to perform live. These legends are as real as the Earth that some, like Cash, have returned to. Cash's growl wasnt made from computers but from the great man himself. The same can be said of Wagoner. It just pisses me off that this kind of stuff really isnt found on the radio waves anymore or are having trouble getting play. God bless Porter, Johnny, Willie, Waylon and the rest.
