From Monsters and Critics.com Music News Scottish singer/songwriter Edwyn Collins has had emergency brain surgery following a cerebral hemorrhage he suffered February 20. Collins had the surgery on Friday and is said to have come through the operation well. His wife posted a message on his official Web site saying: "He has come through it as well as can be hoped for and is continuing to fight. Thank you for all the loving thoughts. When there is more to report, I'll let you all know." Collins first broke through with the 1980's band "Orange Juice" and later had a huge solo hit with 'A Girl Like You,' more recently he has been producing.
