From Monsters and Critics.com Music News “Ladies and Gentlemen, we are The Police and we are back!” With that announcement, The Police kicked off the 49th annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles - marking the first time they had performed lived since the group’s 2003 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Police (Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland) were all smiles while they performed their hit song “Roxanne” and looked like they were having as much fun performing it as the audience was watching them. The Grammy performance could be a hint of what fans can expect if the group launches a reunion tour this summer. An announcement about the tour is expected during a press conference scheduled for Monday, Feb. 12th, at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles. The tour is expected to start with dates in Canada and the U.S. The tour would be the first time The Police have hit the road together since they broke up in 1984. © Copyright 2007 by monstersandcritics.com.
